Li'l devil Posted May 3, 2016 I really need to open those Doom 3 .resources files located in the 'base' directory. I tried to open them via 7-Zip but that didn't work. I really now have no idea how to open them. Upd: basically, why am i asking is that i need to extract the ambient music from the game. Doom 3 has a really good ambient music. 0 Share this post Link to post
snapshot Posted May 3, 2016 I Thought Doom 3 Uses PK4s, which are easy to open with 7zip . 0 Share this post Link to post
Li'l devil Posted May 3, 2016 Ah, but of course! I have BFG edition installed now, and it uses those crappy .resource files. I guess i'll reinstall original edition now. BFG edition sucks btw, but unfortunately the original edition doesn't work properly on my PC... (visual glitches) 0 Share this post Link to post

(visual glitches) I also had visual glitches for some time (strange shadow-like flickering areas popping up), but fortunately they disappeared after some regular driver updates. 0 Share this post Link to post
Arl Posted May 4, 2016 There's a way to extract data from .resource into a folder, the problem is that even then you won't be able to use that data because it's all binarised. 0 Share this post Link to post
