So, I'm currently working on a map in GZDOOM Builder. 1 problem. You can activate switches BEFORE they rise from the ground. All you have to do is walk over to the line where the button is and press "use." I'm currently using Doom in Hexen Format, btw. Please help.

It's how switches behave in the Doom engine normally. I think CheckSwitchRange command in MAPINFO can disable it, but I'm not sure. Otherwise you'd just have to design your map differently.

I've been making maps for a few months now and I didn't know that. I'm sorry, I'm really fucking stupid.

You're not stupid, it's fine. It's just one of Doom's odd 2.5D engine quirks. Most forwards-thinking people would't have known about this until they either ran into it or read about it by luck.
