Does anyone here actually *own* the Doom comic book?

So the Doom comic book scans that we've had on the site for 13 years are, to the best of my knowledge, the only extant digital version online anywhere. They are also some low resolution trash garbage. One thing I would love to do would be to silently update them with better, higher-resolution scans, but such scans have to exist first. Which is why I'm asking if anyone here actually owns the comic book and could maybe help out with this request? Thanks.

Yep, both versions. The convention giveaway comic was printed on better quality paper, and I may already have a set of scans from it.

As much as hi-res as possible legally.

If we were to get hi-res scans of certain items, how about a hi-res scan of the classic Doom box art?

Has anyone ever tried getting in touch with the authors of the comics? It would be interesting to hear their thoughts on it. Especially now that rip and tear is pretty much the official catchphrase of the franchise. Writer Steve Behling was active in Marvel at the time and seems to be with Disney now.

That's irrelevant since it's still copyright infringement at any resolution (except maybe as thumbnails, which have been found in a court case to be fair use, but whatever).

Any size, so long as it's better quality than the current ones, would be fine, but obviously higher-res is better.

cybdmn sent me scans of his personal copy, which I resized and replaced the old shit ones on http://www.doomworld.com/10years/doomcomic/comic.php et al. His is the anthology version though, and GreyGhost said he will look into getting me scans of his copy of the original, higher-quality print.

Holy shit, Doom guy's pupils are actually red during the infamous Rip'n Tear panel. I never noticed that in the lower res scans. As if he didn't look deranged enough already.
