improvements for the game that are needed ASAP

I think the Mancubus needs a farting particle cloud for whenever it jumps up to follow after the player. I ain't even joking.

No its quite simple, you just open up the non-linearity tool and use it every where. That's how I do it in my maps anyway.

ya, OMG that Object is so worthless, it's so damn dull. I'd have to look for a good way to use it, seems like waisted work that could have gone into something else. We'll see a slew of updates for snapmap. as for what's actually needed asap, Id knows what they're doing, and that involves riding the trending train sadly so we'll see stuff drip out over time. I hate this new selling technique.

It wouldn't be hard to make most levels non-linear, because some of the alternative paths are currently blocked by doors or a gate, and removing that would make these levels quite less linear lol

I never said anything about overhauling or redesigning levels, I would just like the restrictive linearity parts for some of levels to be turned off if possible.

The only improvements that the game needs ASAP are improving everything in the snapmap and fixing things in it, as for MP ban those fuckin' hackers, implement a anti-cheat system a la VAC and fix those broken ass demon runes.
But then again i doubt they fix the MP ever, seeing as it was made by Certain Affinity who has a terrible affinity for making bad MP.

I agree that snapmap needs the most attention in terms of fixing for both offline and online.

I just noticed that sometimes the floor of two prefabs on the same level can be a sliver off. Not really sure if it's due to using a specific prefab or what, but it keeps two prefabs from connecting together.

Just something else that needs to be fixed in SnapMap. I hope the free content updates for it at least address some of the issues people have with it.

Also, add DEATHMATCH/FREE FOR ALL mode and balance some of the weapons/runes. Give dedicated server support as well.

Campaign was great, doesn't need fixing IMO, except for actual bugs.

Multiplayer:
- Server browser, matchmaking only works with massive online communities. Doom unfortunately isn't one on PC. (A game actually started 2v4, my brother and myself against a 4 man party cause it couldn't find anyone...we won but still)
- FFA
- Team balancing, sick of these 1 on 5s because of rage quitters. Let us switch teams or shuffle.
- Text chat in lobby (and does not clear out after a game)
- Gauss rifle way too OP on PC. JEEZ, it's okay to have different variables depending on platform ffs, this doesn't need to work like if you're on a slow ass analog stick. Seriously, I don't even have to aim. Just lower the radius, 1 fucking variable...hit compile and deploy.
- LESS GAMEMODES.
- Commando Pro chainsaw bullshit... people teleporting 20 feet to chainsaw you is ridiculous.

To me these are all extremely doable. Hardest one is the server browser.

You must be from the new generation if you think having "OP" weapons is a bad thing in a game like DOOM, it's a throwback to the old days of arena shooters where OP wasn't a bad thing in gaming (at least with people).

I wish I had the commando pro chainsaw thing when using it, never saw it give me the ability to kill people from 20 feet away. Generally had to be within 'if you haven't shot me dead yet at this range then you are likely going to die' range when using it. I think I like the BFG the most out of the power weapons (fires quicker than classic, but it seems like you have to at least aim it more than the Gauss Cannon).

Lol, all I play is arena shooters. The Gauss Canon is easily the most powerful weapon I've ever used in a MP game. Yes, even more powerful than the Redeemer (UT), Fusion Canon (Red Faction, okay not really 'Arena' but it's a power fucking gun), BFG WITH Quad in Q3.

The only skill involved with using it is knowing where and when it spawns, and killing the other guys who try and get it before you, then you are guaranteed 4+ kills. Plus, as far as I know there is always a power weapon to spawn when a demon spawns. Now try fighting a team that has both, + invisibility or quad. It's ridiculous.

I am okay with the speed of the new Doom MP, but in a standard arena shooter it's a lot easier to evade these kinds of weapons if getting shot at.

It also sees through walls, so you can guarantee to kill someone behind a wall if you fire at the doorway.

I've dealt with similar things in the past and it obviously hasn't changed, I just simply adapt.
