I always call the Demons as dogs. It doesn't make sense to me, as most (if not all) the enemies are essentially demons, in my mind demons are known only as dogs.

I've always reffered to them as just "beast".

Like if I was put down by a zombie riflemen, i'd say "Oh, you beast, you..."

Maybe if I was mauled by a pinky, i'd say "You silly beast..."

Or if fighting a Baron of Hell, I'd say "BACK BEAST! BACK, I SAY!"

And if I was gibbed by like a Cyberdemon, it'd be "Damn you, beast. Damn you" (and then I would shake my fist)


*The "s" in beast is always pronounced with a lisp. Not that I have a lisp, but it just feels right.

Before I knew the names, I just called them some variation of "Shit", "Son of a Bitch", and other expletives whenever one snuck up on me.

In all honesty though, I used to refer to Icon of Sin as just Satan. I think I somehow knew all of the enemy names.
