'Overtaken' campaign maps

I've got two done. They are single player campaign-ish style maps that I wanted to make feel somewhat similar to classic Doom levels using some puzzles, secrets, and key cards. I'm shooting for moderate difficulty if you find the secrets and hard if you don't. I want to encourage people to be snooping around every room on my maps.

First Map: 8JDB2WL2 "Overtaken Supply Depot"

This is my first map I took to completion. Ran out of Network Capacity.

Second Map: 29ZW58TD "Overtaken Maintenance Facility"

This is my second completed map. More polished I think. I forced myself to use functions that I didn't know the use of on the first map so I could learn. Again ran out of Network capacity well before any of the others were even close. Made ammo more stingy so that you'd have to scrounge for more, especially in the later rooms.

I'm working on a third one that I think I'm going to try making much bigger but has less flavor props scattered around.

The both seem pretty solid, I died in both probably less than halfway through I'd guess. Keep on rockin' / mappin'!

One suggestion for the much bigger third map you're working on, consider giving checkpoints or more than one life.

I think I might do that just to know how to best do checkpoints. Might also do three or five lives.

I've got my third map done.

I took your advice and made two options at the beginning to have either three lives or infinite lives.

I have one involved boss battle, a sort of 'gimmick' type battle, and a few other things I hadn't done before.

CXFB6QS7 "Overtaken Military Bunker"

Short but sweet. Close ranged battles and vertical play emphasized.

Probably will be my last until they update Snapmap quite a bit.

Well, i played 2 of the maps: 8jdb2wl2 and cxfb6qs7.
i like the atmo and the rich environment.
i like the secrets.
i dont like this "cyberdemon in a phone box" feeling.
no room to maneuver and plenty of x-tra big demons.
soft cover, sight obstructing things like flames and smoke is cool.

never forget: its my humble opinion
