Stuck on level design

I have this room which is kinda critical for the map but I'm out of ideas how to finish the room. So if anyone has ideas I'd like to hear them.

About the map.
The map is kinda like a dark cave/warehouse (think crates) where the player needs find keys to open the door to the exit. This room in particular is kind like a power control room where the key controls lighting in the map. After it is picked up lights go out and doomguy gets to experience really spooky time.

Map is also only playable with project brutality so I have access to all kinds of custom monsters and weapons.

legend:
E = a point where you can enter the area.
K = a key the player needs to pick up.
Numbers indicate where numbered pics are taken.

Some random ideas:

Try adding something more than rocks and crates, for example, small pond of water or poison pouring from tanks or pipes.

You may have a bridge destroyed, and scattered all around forcing the player in a specific narrow path where to have an ambush.

You may add another rock texture to differentiate from the one already used.

And why not adding some light point on the walls/floor/ceiling?

For the room where the key is placed, you can add a lot of tech equipment, some sparks and some noise.
