Toward The Hell

um.. hello there.
i've made my 1st wad.

port - GZDOOM, IWAD - DOOM2. in openGL render.
tested with GZdoom g2.1.0.
tested with GZdoom g2.3.0.

what's inside:
new textures,
new enemies,
custom music,
custom difficulties,
small story,
secret ending(!)

map 02,04,05,06 - gameplay maps, 01,03,07 - cutscenes


jumping and crouching is allowed, since some of the secrets can't be reached other way.
but the game is beatable without that (if that's important).

P.S. some enemies are scripted, so mods for the monster replacement will eat scripts. Not recommended.

replaying this, um, thing.. recently, i noticed that the old monster spawner i used

ugh. that thing even worked for me somehow.

uum, it worked for me then. dunno.
and i just can't let this map be unbeatable, so i'm updating it.. after.. a long time.

not much has changed, just fixed some (2) bugs. and small texture work.
i hope it's ok now.

Downloading right now :D (super slow internet though)
But I already have to say that these screenshots look super interesting, can`t wait to see what you have in store for us with this wad. Especially love those city screens (and Hypnotoad!) and the screen inside the car. Driving around in full armor must feel so awesome. xD

Got stuck after going to hell from the portal. No redskull key, no other doors... also I had to IDCLIP into the portal, as the green buttons didn't work.

Playing in GZDoom.

There was no cyberdemon mate, I spent 10 mins in that first square room and nothing. I hit all buttons except the two which seem to be broken for me.

It's very cool, and a lot of work clearly went in... I'm thinking there are compatibility issues.

wow. that's super strange.
and i never had feedback about these problems on the other forum, where i've uploaded my map previously.
so i really don't know why my map is not working for you. sorry.

Oh, it's nice to see that this project is remembered. It's strange that there is so little feedback. Probably this is a good reason to play it again in near time ...

I think that many will get an excellent experience by acquainting with this project.
