I allways wished to see some higher version of the Cyberdemon and Spidermastermaind.
And of course the giant monster that Edmundo draw (a walking version of the Icon of Sin).
It's a pity that Final DOOM has no new monsters.

I'd be interested in creating a new demon. I have the main drawing almost finished, but i simply don't have the time to create it (not to mention that i haven't got my own scanner yet).

It's a winged, horned arch vile...

The Baphomet creature was good for Doom 2 but I don't think it should have been the final boss, I would have loved to battle with the Devil or something...

I like large areas where you can run around alot like the Tower of Babel (one of my favourite levels), and perhaps a couple of Balrogs to guard the entrance to the Devil's lair...

Taking on the Devil would be simply ridiculous.

They should really have had a balrog of some sort for the final boss though, and not a texture on a wall.

I think there should be Unreal-type bots in it, each one wielding a different player weapon, and when they die you get their weapon (like the Skaarj troopers etc. in Unreal). That would certainly make it a whole lot harder.

I like the idea of a new goat- it could be black on top and be much faster and throw dark purple fireballs at you.

I wouldn't have minded a charging minatour either :-)

Perhaps a modified revenant that had one hand that was HUGE- red, with claws, and one swipe takes of like, 75% . And his eyes glow red as well...

A really fat monstrosity (even more so than the mancubus) that pukes out big green acid.

I'd have liked to have seen a boss level Imp. It would have to be somewhat bigger and slightly slower than a regular Imp, a lot tougher, and through something like five fireballs at a time.

An even tougher relative of the Hell Knight and Baron would have been great too. A Lord of Hell or something :) Dark red skin, throws two fireballs at a time (one from each hand), which could even be a different colour.

A flying Arachnotron might also have worked well. Imagine running around map12 (The Factory) dodging plasma from up in the sky as well as the ground.

The Ultimate Doom and Doom 64 were the only ones that made sence really, they both had unique boss Demons that ruled over the other Demons, there isn't really a boss for Doom 2 or Final Doom, just a gateway that you must close... There should have been a Demon Lord that could spawn and resurect all the Demons...

Unlike all these suggestions for bigger, badder monsters, I would have liked to see more weak creatures.
Another human with a double shotgun (mentioned somewhere above) would have been nice. Maybe he could be part mechanical also to make him a little tougher.

personally i always thought something with an extremely skinny humanoid physique with like popeye arms that extended into a chainsaw on each hand would have been cool....or for a boss...some sort of creature that was impurvious to ranged attacked and needed to be killed by melee hits leaving a berserk pack before handling it a necessity

The only problem with that boss monster is if ranged attacks like plasma shots and rockets won't affect it, and maybe even a BFG blast, then how in the world would punching him, even with the Berserk, hurt him? Perhaps he could be immune to only certain ranged attacks, like if he wore Kevlar armor with some kind of dampener to nullify the plasma type shots, and only rockets would affect him. In that situation, I suppose using the Berserk would work on him as well.

I've got a few ideas:

-A huge, golum-like creature made up of souls (like that creepy sp_face texture) who'd die into several spectres or something.

-A spectre that would devide into two smaller, faster, weaker spectres when killed.

-eviscerated zombiemen with 1/2 health.

-A little goblin that'd travel as a BFG orb.

-A vore-ish monster that would walk around on 4 mantis arms and leap on top of you.

-An invisible archie that'd jump into your body and control your movements for a ~10 seconds while it drained your life.



I think it'd be cool if a bunch of people worked together on a mod that featured a bunch of new enemies.

BTW, whoever mentioned that monster that jams its tentacles into the ground and stabs you with them must play even more Diablo 2 than I do.

That would be me, but I haven't played Diablo 2 in a long time. I figured that kind of monster might work well in Doom because it was sort of unique.

Actually, I think you're thinking of Starcraft...There was a creature that did that in Starcraft as well as a defence weapon setup...I'm pretty sure it was the Creep Colony. The creature I think was the Lurker, and it's from Brood Wars. Both Zerg (duh).

Although, I'm into the 3rd act of Diablo II now, so who knows what I'll end up dealing with...but I haven't met anything like THAT yet.

Actually, I think you're thinking of Starcraft...There was a creature that did that in Starcraft as well as a defence weapon setup...I'm pretty sure it was the Creep Colony. The creature I think was the Lurker, and it's from Brood Wars. Both Zerg (duh).

Although, I'm into the 3rd act of Diablo II now, so who knows what I'll end up dealing with...but I haven't met anything like THAT yet.


Yes its a creep colony but u have to turn it into a sunken colony before it can attack with its subterrean tentacle. ;)

sounds more like Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, which i am heavily addicted to (albet not as much as doom tho) and the mods their community makes.

it does sound good for doom tho (weird huh?)
