invictius Posted July 30, 2016 Someone put me onto synth/Hotline Miami tracks that get me pumped. I've been trying to get said person on these forums because she's a real actual female but she doesn't like the doomworld facebook group, or something like that. I'm bored of midi and have never really liked metal. 0 Share this post Link to post
raymoohawk Posted July 30, 2016 when it's my first time playing a wad wirh custom music i'll give it a listen, but if i already played trough the map i'll usually mute the soundtrack and listen to some youtube stuff or audiobbook 0 Share this post Link to post
Deadwing Posted July 30, 2016 Synth music fits well with Doom, IMO. Something like that haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vITw7Z3fRik 0 Share this post Link to post

BigDickBzzrak Posted July 30, 2016 Does Andrew Hulshult's latest remix pack count? + "Going Down The Fast Way" from Rise of the Triad... 0 Share this post Link to post
yakfak Posted July 30, 2016 I spent my whole life listening to rock music but have always secretly though that rock beats were the worst beats in the world. MIDIs that had intelligent prog rock thinking but electronic or funky beats would suit me down to the ground. i wonder if any such music exists =P 0 Share this post Link to post
nxGangrel Posted July 30, 2016 Electronica. I love me some good old electronica. And not the modern kind of shit that constantly comes out. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted July 30, 2016 Drone music (which can include "metal" such as Sun 0))) or Boris) works well, or dark ambient artists like Lustmord. I have also found that certain neoclassical pieces--particularly atonal arrangements from the mid 20th century--can have a very threatening and appropriately dark feel. 0 Share this post Link to post
Count651 Posted July 30, 2016 Mid 80's and early 90's industrial. Also really good for mapping, very influential. 0 Share this post Link to post
mrthejoshmon Posted July 30, 2016 I have a horrible mixture of OST, ambient, 90s/80s pop, Rock, dubstep and even fucking smooth jazz. It is a mess. 0 Share this post Link to post
VGamingJunkie Posted July 31, 2016 In my opinion, TNT Evilution's greatest strength is its diversity of music. 0 Share this post Link to post
RUSH Posted July 31, 2016 Steve Roach. Relaxing enough to mend those post-work tension headaches but also upbeat enough to still be interesting while playing Doom. He has a lot of great stuff. Most is Space Ambient. I just find this kind of stuff to be so damn soothing. The atmosphere is massive. Spoiler Spoiler 0 Share this post Link to post
MrGlide Posted July 31, 2016 Rap, mainly biggie smalls, asop rock and eminem. 0 Share this post Link to post
hex11 Posted August 1, 2016 techno and eurodance reggae ragtime and blues ambient (or whatever you want to call hexen music) 0 Share this post Link to post
ArchangelOfHell Posted August 1, 2016 Yeah even some oldschool trance/techno goes epic at times. 0 Share this post Link to post
Camahueto Posted August 1, 2016 I like listening to Dance, House and Trance, especially if it has little to no vocals. I think it fits nicely. 0 Share this post Link to post
kaleb. Posted August 1, 2016 I mainly listen to electronica so, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares, Autechre, etc. If the WAD has its music I listen to it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Pencil of Doom Posted August 1, 2016 Sometimes i listen Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Cypress Hill and DPMVs(yes those Hitler parody music videos). 0 Share this post Link to post
Byeblothingal 1024 Posted August 1, 2016 I sure as hell do. In fact I never listen to hard rock when dooming. 0 Share this post Link to post
Royal_Sir Posted August 1, 2016 I use the Doom 3 ambience from time to time. Especially great on E2 levels and the like. 0 Share this post Link to post
Swine & Roses Posted August 1, 2016 I sometimes listen to Juno Reactor, but that makes me play rather recklessly.. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tracer Posted August 1, 2016 I have listened to the Benny Hill theme while dooming. Great fun, especially when there are a large number of pinkies. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted August 1, 2016 The game's soundtrack, pretty much. If mapping/modding then whatever I have on hand. There's nothing specific for me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Doomkid Posted August 2, 2016 I find 80's/90's dance music to be oddly fitting for DM, it's probably just growing up with the Dwango wads that planted that seed though. 0 Share this post Link to post
