Wads so bad they're good.

Any wads that fit this category? They don't have to be joke wads just wads that are fun because they are bad.

Any wads like that you guys know of? I really enjoy these types of games so I thought I'd try wads like those.

I like troll wads for some reason. Idk, i just find them hilarious. Millenia Invasion and Joey's Challenge Pack are my favourites.

I can't really say I know of any.

The thing is, the one factor a lot of so-bad-they're-good media tends to share is that there is usually legitimate effort put into them. Tommy Wiseau put his damnedest into making The Room, and the writers of Resident Evil put forth their best attempt at mimicking how humans speak, for example. On the other hand, there's a lot of purposefully-bad works, like everything by Peter Chimera, that have been perfectly crafted to be as bizarre and charmingly inept as possible. There's a reason we remember John and how he is the demons.

A majority of bad Doom wads tend to not try anything too different or ambitious, simply they are just failed attempts to create a normal map. There's a lot more '94 11-year old's first PWAD than there are bloated, overambitious DecorACS abominations. The ones created to be bad on purpose tend to have zero effort or imagination put into them, and it shows. They're just bad in all the right ways to not be good.

UAC Military Nightmare. I have watched the review of it by Aquarius199 and it looks really funny.
Sky May Be? I have tried it, but Chocolate Doom crashes after a couple minutes of playing, it's that good!
Ghoul's Forest 1 was a "scrapped" WAD, if you didn't know (the textfile says so). Does it fit here?

edit: I'll be an egoistic scum and say Winnie Pooh, my first and "most succestful" map.

The Swan Fox series of megawads from the Skulltag days. One of the main inspirations of Demonsteele, to boot! Good luck finding a copy though; the author took them down after the negative feedback they gotnevermind, Terminus linked the first one in the comments of the video. Enjoy:

It's not entirely bad, but some traps are so terribly designed that it becomes laughable.

Good lord, I remember Swan Fox. Looks completely terrible. I also remember the author being really bad at dealing with criticism over at the Skulltag forums.

Tbh, it is the ONLY x-rated mod that is actually fun and creative.
Like the guy above me said, the sprites are intensely well made. Not some cheap MS paint crap.

Its the porn of Doom mods. Last time I checked, most people like porn.

But Zulk-RS, don't download it. Like Brutal Doom, once you see it, it can't be unseen!

Except Brutal Doom sucks and it isn't so bad it's good, it's just bad and it should feel bad about it's own existence like that dumb kid in the corner of the classroom.

Allegedly a team worked on these 3 maps. Wolfendoom Duke Adventures: Nazi Auferstehung, no link.

In where a guy steals community resources, generates a megawad in SLIDGE, slaps a swastika on every wall, uses pirated music and voicelines from Hellraiser to create actual shit and brand it as a megawad that he poured his soul into... Speaks for itself.

You are right, I didn't say it wasn't confusing or hard. But that in itself does not make it bad. Its trippy as hell and I personally consider it a work of doom art.
