MancubusBruiser1988 Posted August 31, 2016 How do I go about making lifts that are not activated by switches? The lifts that are activated by pushing on them. The tutorials I've seen only mention ones with switches.. 0 Share this post Link to post
hex11 Posted August 31, 2016 Put a walkover linedef nearby with same sector tag as the lift (not 0, assign a new/unused one), and give that linedef one of the "lower lift" actions. There's probably some examples in this book: http://cd.textfiles.com/instantdoom/ 0 Share this post Link to post
Fonze Posted August 31, 2016 Lifts that operate off of switches and lifts that you push "use" on directly in order to use are in fact one in the same. Just put the action on the lift lines rather than a switch. Tag still needed. I think zDoom and other newer formats allow for "Direct" actions on everything, so by that token you could also use a DR - Lift type of action on the lines that make up the lift with no tag. 0 Share this post Link to post
MancubusBruiser1988 Posted August 31, 2016 Thanks for the replies. I've got em going now. One other thing, how do I reverse which way a linedef is facing so that small line that sticks out is facing another way?? 0 Share this post Link to post
scifista42 Posted August 31, 2016 In Doom Builder 2 or GZDoom Builder, it's "Flip Linedefs" in the "Linedefs" menu that appears when you edit the map in Linedefs mode, or a keyboard shortcut "F". 0 Share this post Link to post
MancubusBruiser1988 Posted August 31, 2016 Well that was easy. Spent ages trying to do that. Cheers 0 Share this post Link to post
