elend Posted May 8, 2020 @TravyBDamn, that's some grimy CEMENT, hah. Are you planning to map public restrooms? 4 Share this post Link to post
Negatronica Posted May 8, 2020 Here's a simple bloody grate I just finished that might be of some use to someone. 6 Share this post Link to post
ViolentBeetle Posted May 8, 2020 Kept experimenting with aurora and mountains. This looks pretty decent, though for some reason needs to be converted using Doom 1024 to look decent in game (Which is weird, because I'm positive this palette was the wrong one to use) 1 Share this post Link to post

I just swapped out the caution bits to make it more versatile. 0 Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted May 8, 2020 Those rustic CEMENTs are awesome. For some reason I love that the warning strip is faded off. I mean I never cared much for it anyway, but somehow taking it away adds so much character. 3 Share this post Link to post

This is one of the reasons for SLADE featuring alternate palettes in the first place. 1 Share this post Link to post
sergeirocks100 Posted May 10, 2020 (edited) i'm going to go ahead and dump some textures i made for projects of mine here, the golem textures come from Satanic Infestation, and the red brick comes from my DGPV sequel that will likely never see the light of day, i admit, the textures are pretty rough, and the golems have some bricks to go along with them i can post here if asked, all of these textures are under the Unlicense, so feel free to use these for whatever you feel like 2 Share this post Link to post

Scypek2 Posted May 12, 2020 I guess it could look kind of light-like. But it looks more like fancy polished bricks to me! 2 Share this post Link to post
129thVisplane Posted May 12, 2020 Not really Doom but I guess you can use it in Doom: I made the Duke3D water texture slightly less crusty by spamming a photoshop filter on it a few times. comparison: 10 Share this post Link to post
Roebloz Posted May 14, 2020 Also some of my Paint Doom II GBA Textures. (Which you can get there if you want to: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5090/ Not made to be serious, professional or to look good in any way shape or form 4 Share this post Link to post

ViolentBeetle Posted May 15, 2020 By combining a photo of night sky from Wikimedia Commons with complete lack of image editing skills I have made... a thing. After some copypasting, flipping and using eraser, it even loops, sort of. Link to original in case anyone cares: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:360-degree_Panorama_of_the_Southern_Sky.jpg 5 Share this post Link to post

NiGHTMARE Posted May 18, 2020 (edited) NEBULA1 The images were all taken from here: https://www.spacetelescope.org/images/viewall/ The final version will of course have the standard Doom text, charts, etc. added. I'm going to do a GALAXY1 first, though. 13 Share this post Link to post

Martin Howe Posted May 18, 2020 (edited) Paint.Net when I was still using Windows. Pinta now (a Paint.Net clone for Linux); it's not as polished and some bits are slower, but it's simple to use and good enough for the job. For sprites positioning, GrabPNG at least runs under WINE. (I was able to build it on Linux, but only the CLI version, despite a lot of messing about with libraries and even hacking the configure file, I could not get the GUI to run in Linux). 0 Share this post Link to post
