Gokuma Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) Made a ton of stuff recently. Here's some comp textures incorporating XLightningStormL's VCR and BlazingDust's Slayer screen. Some other Doorskull textures. Diagonal rotated compblue mixing in the two darkest of the few purples the Doom palette has. Some Alpha brown supports put together as one 64x128 texture. 11 Share this post Link to post

EffinghamHuffnagel Posted March 28, 2020 (edited) @NaturalTvventy That FIREWALZ you posted - if you re-size it to 128x128, it's the 'lost' FIRELAV3 to make it fully animated, which I posted early in this thread. Interestingly, if you crop it and cut off the right end at 128, it's the fire on FIREMAG3. id sure knew how to re-use patches. @Gez I knew it was DN3D, didn't remember that about the engine recolor. Haven't played DN3D in forever. Now that you posted the original image, I do remember the blue tint. Good to know. I still think it's a useful edit because I don't think I've ever seen the entire switch used in a Doom map. It's always the left half or the right half. Now the right half can be used as a generic SR button or a distant GR target. A switch should always give some indication it's being used. 2 Share this post Link to post

Gifty Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) Nice gradients! I was just about to ask: Does anyone have any other pre-cropped texture overlays they could share? I've just started exploring texture creation in earnest and having some ready-made "cracks/vines/dividing slats" to play with would help me develop a better sense of which images work best as a "base." No sense in painstakingly isolating out all the cracks in STONE5 if someone has likely done it already. EDIT: Whoo! Baby's first castle texture. It's not much, but I like how this is going. I wanted those sizes to perfectly overlay over other 64x128 or 64x64 textures with no need to needlessly copy or scale the gradient one to reach the desired width. elend Posted April 5, 2020 Well, you could resize the 1 pixel wide gradient to exactly 128 pixels wide. This usually works well with stuff like that, since there is no additional information in the resulting 128 pixels needed anyway. 0 Share this post Link to post
