Hi! Everyone's work here is very inspiring, but it can be hard to find artwork by specific authors due to this thread's decentralized nature. It's definitely part of the charm as it's cool to see people just casually dropping beautiful graphics and just plain having fun, but for those who would to see them indexed i think there's a thread you might like! Or not. A thank you to everyone here anyway :)

Wow, I hadn't seen that topic yet ! :O

 

I'll be sharing some of my work. Those textures are both part of a single-map WAD called Black N' Blanco, and it's upcoming 7-map / Episode 1 sequel simply called Black N' Blanco II : Electric Boogaloo !

This has been a satisfying texture to create. I just lined up four copies of the cracked wall in paint.net, placed the less cracked wall on a lower layer, set the blending mode to Overwrite, and then just painted over most of the cracks with a soft transparent brush.

Not really. I put the project i made it for on pause, so even though the sky is in there, you can barely even see it properly. I heard someone else is using it for their map though.

Just composited nightmare_flatstone3 with the wedges from jimmytex_BROWNG1/9. I don't do image manipulation often, so if there's someone more capable, a remake would be lovely. 3d test scene sample enclosed.

It's very nice. I did two testfittings, (1) replacing kzdoom7.wad's signature green wall (has about the same median brightness), and it's good, (2) replacement as WALL62_2 (BROWNGRN), sampled in e.g. Doom E1M4 and an own map. The texture slots right in, but retexturing a map that was designed with the deepgreen BROWNGRN in mind is not something that is done lightly—after all, it is a color change to graygreen. So I'll consider the texture for a new map.

I've been having fun hiding them in secret areas as an extra little easter egg on top of whatever other goodies I hide there, but I'm sure there's potentially a functional use for the arrow crates at least.

 

The two metal crates are still in Doom palette, but I kind of abandoned that idea with the other ones. You can convert them if you wish, but the colors don't look as nice.
