Force 055

Recommended Posts

Force 055 is pretty much the only Al Qaeda fighting force left in afghanistan, and it is also the best. They are said to be coming out of the mountains more and more, preparing to engage US troops.

"Force 055 is the guerrilla arm of al Qaeda that is now preparing to fight the Americans. It is conducting probing attacks. It is mounting reconnaissance and it is engaging in some clandestine training"

What do you think? will achieving victory over these guys be a cakewalk, or do you think this will be the ground troops' most challenging battle yet and maybe even take a significant ammount of cassualties?

My personal belief is that although these guys have a lot of experience and a good ammount of amo and supplies, the US special forces have the training to match force 055's experience, and has the best weapons and technology money can buy. the US forces might experience a slight pinch, reminding us we are at war, but nothing real big.

Info I have is that every time there was ground work needed the US bottled out and sent in British forces. Now most of British forces have left, it will probably be US heavy bombing of any wedding parties that are occuring. Force 055 was only ever 500 men, not a lot they will be able to do, if they are still at 500 after the heavy bombing. Early in the bombing campaign a garrison of 055 fighters near the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif was one of the first targets for US jets. Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, described the troops as "the al-Qaida-dominated ground force".

well there is video of US spec ops securing caves and looking for hostile troops. as for bombing weddings, if they shoot anti-aircraft weapons at US jets, i say bomb them.

Investigations seem to show, no ak ak was used and US special forces removed evidence after the incident, even disguising shell marks on walls and removing blood evidence.
While the U.N. report has not been made public, the Times of London reported that the initial draft claimed the U.S. military removed evidence at the site of the bombing and handcuffed female villagers.

The report cited higher death and injury totals among civilians, but a U.N. statement said some casualty figures in the short preliminary report were not fully documented.

The United Nations would not confirm the Times of London account of the preliminary report, but U.N. spokesman Fred Eckhart said the initial findings of the team "were leaked to the press."

The preliminary UN report stated that there was no corroboration of US claims that its aircraft were fired upon from the ground; and that coalition forces had arrived on the scene and "cleaned the area" of bullets and traces of blood.
