LostSoulofRetailHell Posted October 25, 2016 I am curious as to if I missed something. It is very time consuming and a pain to line up hell props and building props in snapmap. I have played many awesome maps where the geometry and custom maps were made seamlessly and flawlessly. Is there a tool to line up hell props to make walls and ceilings or are people that patient and that good at building? Sorry if this is elsewhere. question 2 is simply if monsters can only be placed on the floor of the module how to people place them on props i.e. custom second story( room above room) do they have to be spawned up there? I have checked out many youtube videos but am lost as to this concept. Thanks for answers and time . 0 Share this post Link to post
Jaxxoon R Posted October 25, 2016 You have to place a teleport destination slightly above the prop, and then set the monster to teleport to it on spawn. 0 Share this post Link to post
bloodshot Posted October 25, 2016 For your first question i had been wondering the same, but i recently found if you hit f1 while nothing is selected there's an option for camera move speed. If you lower that you can make really precise movements. Also in the f1 menu you can decrease the grid size and angle snap increments so snap to grid is useful. 0 Share this post Link to post
ShadesMaster Posted October 26, 2016 I second that! F1 has been a major asset in asset manipulation! 0 Share this post Link to post

In addition, you might want to set up some blocking volumes to keep monsters on top of props, if that's your intention. Be sure to set it to block monsters and not shots, and make it transparent. Thank god for free update 4, they included a revised BV so you don't have to use awkward methods to keep demons on props. 0 Share this post Link to post
