Im new and want to know

I want to know if there is any Doom 2 Servers or something like that, that people play on and you can VS and stuff, I look all over the net to find doom players and decided to look on this site reffered to by a friend, So if anyone knows a GOOD Doom 2 server that has alot of people on then please tell me where to get it.

You'll probably find Zdaemon (see first letter in the BBG sig) one of the most friendly since it has servers running and you can join a game in progress. It's based on zdoom 1.22 and has a launcher to display the active servers.
