....that I am obviously unable to go through the shareware of "Blood" on its highest skill "Extra Crispy" without cheating (more or less).

Has anyone played the shareware at the highest skill without bringing up the command-line and entering cheats like "hongkong" or "spork"? Is that possible? Be honest!

Blood crashes too much on my system (Win98se). u know, everytime i get pickup the reflective shots the game locks up. Other than that it just blacks out at some random time. Doom whups that silly game anyway.

For some reason I didn't like the game much either. After about the third map, I decided to just dump it. The good thing is that it didn't crash on me even once, but that didn't help much.

i enjoyed Blood when i played it through the first time on my old p90Mhz. but it just didn't make an impression on me like, well, obviously Doom did.

to this day tho Blood with sfx WAY up and no music is awesome.

Blood rocks, but I liked Blood II way more. The weapons were just way more fun, especially the assault rifle and mac 10s.

There's a fix for that. That's Jim Dosé's sound code for the BUILD engine messing up when it needs to apply reverb to the sound effects (one of the reflective shots' special effects). No one really knows why this happens in Live! soundcards, but there's a patch/hack somewhere that removes that effect, hence avoiding the lockup.

I had the same problem with Duke3D for a long long time, nearly went insane before someone at planetduke or otherwise answered me...
