zark Posted August 9, 2002 OK, I have a couple of questions/problems about lifts in ZDoom. 1) Why is it, when I use Plat_DownWaitUpStay, the lift descends to about 16 units above the floor? I want it to be flush with the floor. 2) What is the defalt speed/delay for a typical lift in Doom? ie, what speed and delay do the normal Doom lifts use? Thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post

Try to use Plat_DownWaitUpStayLip with it's last argument 0. Have a look at this: http://zdoom.notgod.com/reference/act_plats.html#Plat_DownWaitUpStay 0 Share this post Link to post

Default speed, not sure, depends what units you want it in :-). http://prboom.sourceforge.net/editing/reference-2.html last table. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted August 9, 2002 If you look at your converted iwad and find a lift in there, you can find out the default speed and delay for normal and turbo lifts. 0 Share this post Link to post
zark Posted August 9, 2002 You are a genius, UD! Why didn't I think of that? :) 0 Share this post Link to post
zark Posted August 9, 2002 Hey, don't worry about it. I understand :) Just as a note, I wasn't going to sell the RPG or anything, I just suck at drawing :P 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted August 9, 2002 You can also look at the converted iwad for door speeds and delays. And of course, locks (which have very strange arguments) 0 Share this post Link to post
