It has become surprisingly difficult to google it, what with all "Doom benchmarks" now referring to the newfangled Doom 4/2016 and whatnot.

Now that I saw this again...I'd like to try the benchmark myself once again, but this time using that fastvid utility, and see if it's possible to get past the legacy ISA (or simply BIOS?) bottleneck in plain VGA mode without modifying doom.exe or using a source port.
