I used to be very aggressive, if anyone teased me in school I would get pissed and literally growl like a lion. I would also pick fights with them even with the class president when listed me in the noisy list.

 

I've calmed down since and whenever someone tries to pick a fight with me, I refuse and try to figure out a peaceful way to end the situation.

I onced wrote a fictional character for my school project. The instructions were to observe the things your favorite public speaker does when he/she is giving a speech. Since I didn't have a favorite, I made someone up instead. His name was Hondo Jafari, some preacher living in Florida. I wrote was that he was really good at public speaking but he's obscure so he can't even be found in Youtube, only on websites that are barely known. Hopefully the teacher I gave this believed it.

 

Also I wrote a short backstory for Hondo Jafari as a joke, here it is:

Born in Africa as an only child of a poor family, he worked as a construction worker to help his sick parents. Before the Ugandan Civil War, his parents were religious and taught Hondo about Christianity. He was faithful to the religion. At the peak of a civil war, his village was invaded by the notorious African warlord Keito Kaikura and he was forced to become a child soldier. During this time, Hondo was a very strong fighter and was considered one of the top ranking soldiers in the God's Army however he never wanted this kind of life and only did it because grunts who didn't prove their worth were executed. When he became an adult, he planned to escape Africa by plane along with his best friend Robert Akachi who he met during his time in the army. It was successful but Keito was furious and sent his spies to go look for him. Arriving in America, he quickly got his face remodeled to prevent spies from easily identifying him. Hondo Jafari is a skilled fighter in multiple fighting style such as Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do and Capoiera. He combines them all to become his own fighting style and was trained by his master Jojo Nkosi. Hondo is also an expert when it comes to guns and is a master of the art of bullet ricocheting, he learned these skills from his years of experience as a child soldier.

Sometimes, seeing other people's art especially from my cousins makes me really sad. I would even cry and try to hide it, I know I shouldn't compare myself to others but no matter what I do I still do it. Seeing them just reminds me of how shitty I feel about my drawings. I really want to get good at drawing but I don't really know where to start at all, I'm just lost. I also tend to stop practicing for some reason.

 

I've joined Arts & Design as my course in Senior High School and guess what? I learned fucking nothing. My school barely does online classes (believe or not, we only had 2 classes this school year) and the only thing we do is answer modules that the school send us. Not one of them even teach me anything about drawing.

 

Sometimes, I ask myself "Is this really the right path for me?" and thinking Arts & Design was really the course I want. I've wanted to be like a concept artist but I'm so clueless on what to do.

 

(Sorry for the long and personal post, I just wanted to release some really painful emotions somewhere. I've been feeling really bad recently.)

Long. Usually one hour nap doesn't screw up my time, but sometimes it's just I'm too tired and I go to bad and sleep, let's say from 1PM to 5PM, which definitely contributes to difficulty getting into sleep at night for me.

 

Maybe this doesn't apply to everybody, but for people having a hard time getting to sleep, this could be one factor.

Even though I love making my games voice acted, in fact it's basically a MUST in most of my projects, I hate having to implement it lol. It's not that it's hard, it's just SUPER TEDIOUS. Cutting the lines, making sure they are all leveled with everyone else's batches... it's so frustrating. I'm always excited to receive the batches, listen to them, but when I have to cut them, and most of all TYPE. EVERY. SINGLE. VOICE. STATEMENT. Ugh.... It's the last thing I do in game dev before playtesting, and the biggest pain. Yet despite, it's worth it every single time.

As a kid I used to hate mine and my accent a lot too, but I have since grown to like it quite a bit.

 

What has stayed however, is my hate for recordings of it, it just sounds nothing like in my head. I even mute my own streams when occasionally watching them, I only allow volume to check if everything is alright and there's no sound issues lol.

I used to hate/dislike my voice too. Now I like my voice mostly. I sound better when speaking english. Finnish is a bit monotonous and might occassionally go too deep. Other people have described my voice as cute, bright, gentle, calm and soothing. Yet I might think I sound nervous.

 

I've had 8 voice therapy sessions to feminize my voice and also to make it louder. I had a few times voice therapy earlier too, just for making my voice louder. I think it's still a bit quiet voice. A phoniatrist put a camera in my mouth before I had those 8 voice therapy sessions, and the camera revealed my left vocal cord is/was atrophied, which explains the quietness, can't talk loud for long. It starts to hurt and then I don't want to talk at all.

 

Maybe that also explains why I'm good at shortening sentences into just the key point of what I want to say. Writing can get longer.

I used to frequent this one computer shop/cafe near my old school, played Counter-Strike with my schoolmates there. I heard a couple stories that happened in that cafe, I even get to see one with my own eyes. Here's a few I want to share:

 

-One day during lunch break at my school, I went to the cafe to play some games and saw a sign taped into the entrance and it said "For those who often go here, please take a bath. You fucking stink!", it's not accurate but it's close. From the sign, apparently there's been a bunch of kids who come to the cafe before taking a bath. Thank god, I never saw any of those kinds of kids in the cafe. Talk about some true Gamers.

 

-This one here I've actually seen and it was someone watching porn. To describe what happened, me and my friends came to the cafe to play some games and one of my friends saw this one guy and told us that he was watching porn. I got curious so I went to a spot where we could see his computer monitor and man, my friend wasn't lying. He had Pornhub full tab and wasn't even trying to hide it, one thing that really surprised me was that his spot wasnt even hidden and was close to the admin who can monitor all the computers.

 

I couldn't really believe it and made me wonder if this guy has the biggest balls of steel or has no self awareness at all.After a bit, he left and the admin doesn't seem to notice or care at all. From that day on, I swore that day that I will never sit on that spot ever again, I'm afraid there's some cum stain that I might unknowingly touch.

Bruh. My theory is that the guy was a repeated doer of this and the admin stopped giving a shit. Computer cafes rock btw. I feel lucky that I got to experience some of that. I'm not sure if there's a lot of them anymore.

There still are where I live, though I am not sure how popular or frequented, haven't been inside them for almost a decade.

 

I used to game there with some friends way back when I was in school, it was fun, but I always found LAN parties more fun than internet cafés.

The guy never returned after that, he probably knew that he was being watched and went somewhere else. Computer cafes in my country (the Philippines) are very common here and they're often packed or full especially during lunch or late afternoon in weekdays since those are times where high school students are out of school. On the other hand, these cafes are almost empty during weekends.
