Crocodiles tear apart Thai suicide woman

BANGKOK, Thailand (Reuters) -- A Thai woman killed herself by jumping into a pit of more than 100 crocodiles, shocking crowds of onlookers at a Bangkok reptile farm.

The woman, 40, climbed a two-meter high fence and jumped into a concrete enclosure at the Famut Prakarn Crocodile Farm on the outskirts of the Thai capital, a tour guide who witnessed the event said Sunday.

A crocodile dragged the woman into a pond and several animals swarmed over and tore her body apart.

"She did not cry or scream when she was bitten," Tanet Virayaporn, the tour guide, told Reuters.

"It happened so quickly. Nobody could do anything."

Police said the woman had left a suicide note in which she complained about her husband and apologized to family members.

Hundreds of people were visiting the crocodile farm, a popular tourist attraction, when the woman committed suicide.

She probably had something going on that she used to justify killing herself. Even if it would seem stupid/petty to a third party. Interesting way to kill yourself though.

Probably the worst way to kil yourself would be "death by police oficer," threatening one or more cops and having your ass blown to kingdom come. The cops would have to live with your death for the rest of their own lives, and it would be especialy bad if they knew it was a suicide.

Of course, some of you spiteful fucktards may get a kick out of that. :/

I disagree. If one truly feels that they do not deserve the life they are living, suicide is the bravest and boldest step one can make. It's quite admirable to not allow yourself to be shackled within the prison-like confines of this life.

Taking one's own life requires being quite brave, in my humble opinion.

I would kill myself, seeing as how I'm a pain in the side of most people rather than any kind of a boon, but I'm too much of a chicken to do it. So yeah, I believe suicide probably requires a certain amount of bravery or something resembling it.

Saying that suicidal people are chickens because they don't find another way out is moronic IMO. I knew a girl once who had all kinds of mental disorders. She had to struggle every day. She cut herself and she fantasized about slitting her wrists.. I knew a little of her situation at her home, but I don't hear anything from her anymore, so I fear she killed herself..

For some people, it'll never get better, that's the truth.
Even if they'll move out of their homes and try to start a new life their past stil sticks in their minds.
I don't believe in fairytale bullshitstories you see on Oprah Winfrey. All those stories there have miracle-endings so everyone can applaude and make happy faces. God I hate that show..

No one asks anyone else to care. Mourning is a selfish act, you do not mourn the person who passed away but mourn the fact that your own life will be crapper from now on because that person is missing.

Fucking rubbish! Tell that to my wife, when on X-mas day she was informed her brother had killed himself, or their mom that had to awake on Christmas morning to find her son dead, she was disabled and couldn't get help as he had cut the phone lines to prevent her calling an ambulance.

I think it may require a good lot of determination to kill yourself. But despite how brave you think you are for doing it, you wont be able to say anything when people say how cowardly it is.

The only thing I don't like is how many people who try to kill themselves have nothing really wrong with them. Teeanage angst... School is hard... my sig. other dumped me.

And in light of really bad problems... I think it is far more brave to face the problem and try to work it out then to give up.
