Making triggers not work until activated?

Is there a way to place a trigger box on the map but make it so it doesn't work unless it is activated later? I placed a trigger use on a map and then connected a door to it with the "disable" tag so that it would not work. And then another event uses the "enable" tag later. I hoped this would work and yet it doesn't appear to do so. Any idea what I should do?

Yeah.

Use the "On Map Start". If you have 1 volume, just directly connect it so "On Map Start" -> Disable.

If you have a lot, you can use a boolean filter to remotely change them.

I already tried doing something similar. Thing is, using the "disable" tag fallowed by reenabling it later doesn't seem to work.

Make sure your volume settings aren't set to "on use"-> disable

Go tot he volume properties and make sure it doesn't disappear as soon as the player touches it. Or ever, really.
