Finally got Doom 4 installed onto this new PC

It literally took me 10 hours to download Doom at 2MB/s. I think I'll be playing the campaign multiple times before I uninstall it.

Also OpenGL or Vulken? I wanna try Vulken real quick to see the difference.

Vulkan is basically the successor of OpenGL, so you should try Vulkan.

It runs smooth as butter on my new PC by the way, which I like a lot. I was worried I would barely be able to run it at medium but it runs mostly above 60FPS on max settings on Vulkan.

Yeah, Doom has to be one of the most well-optimized AAA games I've ever played.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you, I recently finished my PC build and am experiencing Doom 4 for the first time. It's really kick ass to be able to play something like Doom 4 while it runs like syrup.

The way they are what? You sound like they are supposed to be challenging or something. Whip your your Rocket launcher with the targeting mod or your Gauss cannon.
If you're dying in Doom, your aren't killing fast and efficiently enough.

The cyberdemon was way easier to beat

It's a fun game though and it is challenging a lot. Almost got killed near the end of the boss fight but I killed the cybie with my gauss cannon.

Thats not too bad, I remember when my internet used to be shit my download speed would literally decrease until it hit 0kb/s where at that point it would just pause the download.

It would take me 5 hours to download a 4Gb game.
