Alt+tab from GZDoom keeps the resolution

When I alt+tab out of GZDoom, the system continues to use 640x480, resulting in me seeing only a tiny portion of the screen. Is this due to Windows XP, incorrect GZDoom settings, old drivers, or something else?

This is a limitation of how OpenGL works on Windows. In order to change the resolution it has to actually change the desktop size. Trying to work around this brings another kind of problems because it cannot be done without completely deleting the OpenGL context first.
