raymoohawk Posted January 9, 2017 so i usually do most of my reading on my phone, but that really strains my crappy eyesight after a while. those of you who have had experience with dedicated ereaders would you recommend one? or is it pretty much the same as reading in a phone or pc? 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted January 9, 2017 Beware of the firmware. There's a lot of garbage out there. The most important decision you'll have to make is: Kindle or not? Do you want to become dependent on Amazon or do you want to exclude them from your purchasing decisions? 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted January 9, 2017 E readers are excellent for outdoor viewing. Kobo is the Android of e readers. Kindles have DRM up the ass. 0 Share this post Link to post
Doom_Dude Posted January 12, 2017 I have a Kobo Touch that's about 4 years old now. My reading is about 50/50 between using the eReader vs paper books. The eReader is certainly easier on the eyes than some paperback novels that have really small print. 0 Share this post Link to post
raymoohawk Posted January 13, 2017 thanks for the replies guys :) after reading around i think i'll settle for the kobo 2.0 since its the cheapest and adding your own files to a kindle sounds like a bit of a hassle 0 Share this post Link to post
