ThePetitDwarf Posted March 1, 2017 I just downloaded the source code from GitHub, and I want to make some checks in the Lost Soul equivalent monster in Freedoom. However, I don't know how it's called -not its real name nor its acronym used for the sprites folder- so i can't find it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Catoptromancy Posted March 1, 2017 Actual list is near bottom. https://github.com/freedoom/freedoom/blob/master/lumps/dehacked.lmp Or is much nicer to load up this wad on map30. https://github.com/freedoom/freedoom/blob/master/levels/test_levels.wad 0 Share this post Link to post
Diabolución Posted March 1, 2017 ThePetitDwarf said:nor its acronym used for the sprites folder It is named deadflare. Freedoom monsters are actually a reskin of Doom monsters. That is, sprites, sounds (contents of lumps themselves [replaced with original artwork], lump names are identical) and names of monsters shown in the cast are changed, just purely cosmetical changes. Functionally, they are the very same monsters of Doom because they are hardcoded in the engine, so same health, same lump names for sprites / sounds, same attacks... While a dehacked patch can customize their behaviour and properties, this will ruin the compatibility of demos and PWADs, a secondary goal of this project. So that you have to check the original lost soul to find that info. Lost soul - The Doom Wiki at DoomWiki.org - Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, and more 0 Share this post Link to post
