Master O Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) Various Artists - More Lights: Descent Community Album https://forum.dxx-rebirth.com/showthread.php?tid=1087&pid=12392#pid12392 (Album is available in both mp3 and FLAC formats). Quote (From the above linked thread) This was a long time in the making. The original Descent Community Album is almost twenty years old and, sadly for the very unique and enjoyable collection that it is, mostly forgotten. But we've finally done it again. With a new set of nine artists featuring talents like Martin Britz and R.a.M. Land (Ruben Acevedo Mendez) and Vertigo Fox, along with plenty of others including several artists for whom this is their first release of any kind. With twenty songs ranging from live guitar melodies, to 16-bit retro electronica, to fully lyrical industrial ballads, this is a ride you don't want to miss. Big thanks to everyone involved in the music and especially to Xfing for allowing us to tie the album in with his enormous mod and level pack for the old games. Tracklist: 01 Phozon - Ice 02 Martin Britz - Synapse 03 Vertigo Fox - Half-Past 04 R.a.M. Land - Lonely Shafts 05 D2Disciple - In Situ 06 Diamond Wolf - Coda 07 Vertigo Fox - Flight Feathers 08 R.a.M. LuciferSam86 Posted November 11, 2018 Some Doom mods music. For now this track from TNT Revilution. By the way: I would like to hear more music with this style. Are there any other wads with this kind of music? 0 Share this post Link to post

FractalBeast Posted November 11, 2018 I've begun listening Swans since I hear it's kind of the ultimate "everything in one" band for people that like the weirder, darker and heavier part of music. If I was ever stuck on a desert island with only the discography of one artist/group, right now I'd go with the Beatles, but that's less about me really liking their stuff that much and more about them having put out such a wide range of high quality sound over such a long period of time. If we can go weirder, darker and heavier and still retain a high level of quality, I'll happily exchange the Beatles for Swans. After all, Swans strongly influenced bands like Godflesh, Khanate, My Dying Bride, Neurosis and Napalm Death so this shit's gonna be h-e-a-v-y, I think/hope. 0 Share this post Link to post
