Knee Deep In The Dead mod for Quake 2?

Recommended Posts

i've seen videos for a mod of Quake 2 that has the entire first episode of doom in it, (there are also mods made by the same guy with Shores Of Hell and Inferno), and all the links i've found to download the mod don't work. Does anyone have a working link to this mod/these mods?

I managed to find three of the four episodes, I could not however get one of them which was Shores of Hell except for the raw map files and unless you know how to compile maps they otherwise won't be much use to you.

These were all downloaded from an archive and uploaded to my MediaFire account.

Pretty sure GTKRadiant can compile the maps, but I've not dabbled in the Quake engine(s) for a long time.

Are you talking about Generations?  That mod was shut down by id on grounds of copyright violation and isn't supposed to be distributed, unfortunately.

Generations was a Quake III Arena mod which was also had a Quake II version, but it was only a multiplayer related mod. It is unrelated to the Doom mod for Quake II.

No, the Quake II version was the original project and allowed you to play Wolfenstein / Doom / Quake level remakes as any of the characters from those games, but was shut down.  Generations Arena for Quake III was a reprise of the idea that they were able to do because the base for the characters already existed in that game.

I wasn't trying to say the QIIIA version came first, but you appear to be right about it being different.
