Craneo Posted July 23, 2023 reposting these here, credits: Raven Software, Cage, Zrrion the Insect, ItsNatureToDie, NotJabba, Neoworm, Nash Muhandes, Bethesda, Blasphemer team (hopefully all the credits...) made these for a side-pet-project thingy called "Heathen's Maze", an Obsidian Doom Level Generator addon that is meant for Heretic and adds a lot of textures and such (including some from here, credited, ofcourse) and ports a lot of prefabs from the Doom version as well as some original ones. Not Jabba Posted September 17, 2023 I've compiled a lot of Heretic-compatible textures over the years, but it's only in the editor that you can really sort out which ones are the most useful for putting together architectural structures. I've found that I'm doing pretty well with wood, metal, and decorative textures, but when I work with stone (which is the most common material, at least for me), I struggle with the fact that the available resources seem to just be 80 million different brick walls that are all in gray, tan, and jade green. I've been working on sorting out the most useful stone textures (particularly the ones that work as vertical/horizontal strips) and doing color variants of them within the Heretic palette so I have a better general library. I'll share these as I edit and compile them. Ok, sure, maybe I'll put everything in a zip when I'm done. Not Jabba Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) Picked out my five favorite "continuous surface" textures (ones that tile smoothly vertically and horizontally with no lines) and did color variants. These are the originals. The first one is by Ettingrinder from his texture pack, the second is from Hexen, and 3-5 are from Baker's Legacy. Here's my set. I see these as floor and ceiling textures mainly, so with the whole set of colors you should be able to pair them with just about any wall surface. The larger ones can also be used as walls, which I suppose is what they're technically designed for. (darker red one is already in Ettingrinder's texture pack) (Baker's Legacy has a couple of these in sapphire blue already, as well as another version of the reds that is different from mine) 9 Share this post Link to post

Not Jabba Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) As predicted, this next set is huge. It may seem a little silly to make so many color combinations of the same textures, but the idea is that all these vertical/horizontal strip combos will basically serve as the building blocks for any color theme that combines 2 colors -- and Heretic has lots of interesting color combinations that are largely unexplored because these types of textures don't exist, and because a lot of the colors in the palette are barely represented in texture packs at all. I found that the ORN* set looks particularly good for a lot of combinations, so in addition to the two variants in my previous post, this next set includes another 5 texture variations that coordinate well with each other. There are 600 of these total, and I don't feel like uploading them all to Imgur and putting them all in a forum post, but here's a sample that should give you a pretty good idea of what the set is like. If you want more themes, just sit tight, and the rest will be available when I put together the zip of all my textures.
