If we can include custom monsters, I really like the overlords. Lots of HP, can hit really hard, and are a neat design mix between cacodemons and pain elementals. They're kind of cute, actually.

Probably the hell knight or the revenant. The hell knight is a much more balanced version of the baron, who simply has too much health for my liking.

 

The revenant adds a form of RNG to the mix. You can do everything possible to dodge his attacks, but when he decides to throw a homing shot at you, the whole game changes.

Fave is Baron. Huge, muscular, and a good reason to break out that Plasma Rifle. And he's pink! Real men wear pink.

I gotta give it to the Revenants on this one. It's highly satisfying to land a SSG blast on them, even more so when you get into a full on boxing match with one - always knowing you might get sucker punched with a missile.

 

The roots of their creation shows that in spite of hellspawn being among the rudest beings in existence, at least they're pretty damn good at recycling.

the wake-up scream when theyre in big groups is a perfect example - shit-scary but also funny.
