There will be more Chillax, but not plagiarized.

Chillax is a popular online sever PWAD that has had some controversy, it's fun but plagiarized and what not. It was also a meme of sorts within the Doom community. I enjoy the maps even though the original mappers have not been credited correctly. 

That being said, my team and I have decided to make a sequel to the map pack with all original maps that aren't plagiarized. We enjoy the wad so much and want more and hopefully some of you will as well. 

We currently have 6 mappers: 5 of which are in UACDS, one is a guest mapper. We plan on making another ridiculous map pack of slaughter map fun. Release date will be a little far in the future since this is still in the beginning stages... Though we are all working hard and can't wait to release the super wad so all of you can enjoy it. 

Once it is finished we will host it for a while in your local UACDS server. 

We are using UDMF with some custom textures/ sprites and such from realm 667. We are modeling the maps around EWEPS mod, though we are including ammunition in case anyone wants to play it vanilla or with another mod.

Will keep updating.

Assuming you weren't involved with the original Chillax, it'd be best to name your wad something else and consider it a spiritual sequel rather than an actual continuation.

Also there's already a Chillax 2 floating around, though I've no idea if it can be considered an "official" sequel.

Using UDMF format usually. I have a specific map with custom textures coming from my end... Though I am going to challenge myself to only use classic Doom and Doom 2 textures. Not sure about the final name / opening screen though we have had some ideas.

yea there isn't anything challenging about using only stock textures. replace challenge with 'limit myself to the same few themes we've all seen many times before, even the outliers (sky as the floor wow so innovation)'. also no waterfall rofl

I don't mind a little casual Chillax fun here and there. The most popular server I've seen around combines Chillax with the old Master of Puppets mod with some updates, notably the addition of a gun from Russian Overkill that can nuke an area, but is limited to one or two shots per level, plus some mini nukes, lol.  Though the ManixApocalypse is a little unbalanced, because Cyberdemons totally needed a nuke weapon - for when homing missiles can't kill Marines fast enough... lol

 

I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel of sorts, but I'd probably only play it semi-casually.

I will consider it a challenge to make really interesting/ intricate designs with the original textures as there aren't that many. We are making a collection of slaughter maps, obviously. We got the idea from playing Chillax. It is stated that Chillax was in fact plagiarized, I had stated that in the beginning.  Shortly after, I stated that all of the maps are original. They are going to be credited as well as the textures being used and the music used inside the wad. 

The WAD is being made with multiplayer and over powered weapons mods in mind. Though there is plenty of ammunition and power ups in case one wanted to play it by themselves or vanilla.

 

As for the video that I posted, it was some 1990s black metal playing in the background. Burzum to be exact. You should take time to read the description in the video.
