Help with Doomseeker hosting.

So I've gotten the server up and running perfectly, although I've been wanting to make sure of a small thing.

When I paste in the WAD URL for others to download, must it link directly to a download of the WAD or PK3 or can it link to a ZIP just fine?

 

Amazingly I cannot find anywhere that tells me about this.

Because it has nothing to do with the URL itself, but the program that downloads it, and there is no "default spec" for automatic WAD downloading as that wasn't a thing in DOS. However as far as Doomseeker goes, its WAD searching tool will extract a zip by default for the contents, as that's how most WADs and PK3s are packaged (a zip itself should never be the asset container).

 

So yes, it can link to a zip just fine.
