Audio with Viddump command

Recommended Posts

I would like to use the vid dump command for converting lmps to video files , however I am assuming that the vid dump command does not copy midi music(assuming) . Is there a way to get past this? or should I just give up.

Your midi player needs to be fluidsynth -- snd_midiplayer "fluidsynth" in the cfg file.

These are the rest of my settings in prB+ 2.5.1.5.

Spoiler

# Video capture encoding settings
cap_soundcommand          "oggenc2 -r -R %s -q 5 - -o output.ogg"
cap_videocommand          "x264 -o output.264 --crf 22 --muxer auto --demuxer raw --input-csp rgb --input-depth 8 --input-res %wx%h --fps 60 -"
cap_muxcommand            "mkvmerge -o %f output.264 output.ogg"
cap_tempfile1             "output.ogg"
cap_tempfile2             "output.264"
cap_remove_tempfiles          1
cap_fps                      60

2.5.1.4 is the same but without the fps stuff.

That did not fix my issue. I set my midiplayer to fluidsynth and I still cant seem to get the audio to work. Here is some useful information that might help:

-I use Glboom-plus v2.5.1.5

-I use a different soundfont that the original soundfont that came with the installation of prboom-plus/glboom-plus

I'd make sure the soundfont is specified in the config properly here and is in the same folder as your exe:

Quote

snd_midiplayer            "fluidsynth"
snd_soundfont             "GM2.sf2"

Are you referring to just midi or all audio? Those terms aren't interchangeable.
