Try to make actor domant with SetActorFlag instead.

SetActorProperty with PROP_TOTALLYFROZEN of course won't work, because PROP_TOTALLYFROZEN is only handled properly by SetPlayerProperty, which itself only works on players.


For monsters, you can use Thing_Deactivate, though it will also make them appear completely static and not take any damage, until you re-activate them with Thing_Activate.


Alternatively, you can make the cutscene use a dummy actor that looks like the player (possibly a ScriptedMarine), instead of the actual player. The monster will not target or attack this actor, unless you make the actor attack the monster first so the monster would retaliate.
