I was actually thinking about doing a ZKeen sort of thing. Not really a combination of Keen and Doom but just Keen in the ZDoom engine, would make for a neat way to play Keen online, be it Deathmatch, Co-op or any other gamemode.

 

My maps look like garbage so that's basically why i haven't done much yet.

A mod where you are the Icon of Sin who needs to stop a player or bot from shooting missiles in your head. You gradually build points overtime which can be spent on spawning higher teir monsters. You can choose where to shoot the cubes.

 

Has someone already said this one?

A Multiverse/Synthesis mod combining tons of mods into one package. Before picking a map and difficulty level you would also pick a playable character like Samsara, toggle different weapon packs off or on, toggle enemy packs, toggle mechanics packs (jetpacks, regenerating health, inventory systems), and whatever other options you can think of. Various (mega)WADS could be listed right next to each other as episodes to play.

 

So if you wanted you could play all sorts of weird combos like Duke Nukem using Doom 2016 weapons fighting hexen monsters in a Wolfenstein Castle but with a 2 weapon limit and regenerating health like halo. Or another time you might choose to play strife guy with quake 1 weapons and survival horror mechanics in heretic levels with doom weapons.

What about a mod that adds a weapon in the melee slot that's just the regular fist but with a scope? For balance, it makes every punch slower, but you can punch enemies at a further distance.

 

Others:

- Silenced rocket launcher

- Revolver with an extended magazine

- Pump action chaingun

- Chainsaw with a stock

- A combat knife with a bayonet attached to the end of the blade, effectively creating a shortsword

- A "minigun", but then it's actually just a small gun

- Doomguy just throws the bullets at the enemy

- Lego caltrops

DOOMAGE CONTROL

You are a UAC computer technician, a man on a single, critical mission.... to get the backup data from all those computer terminals in the Phobos base. 

 

No guns for you! Savage the forward and strafe keys as you race through the entirety of Ultimate Doom: Episode 1, bashing on the keys of as many terminals as possible in your quest to recover all the data. Be warned! The base is filled with undead and demonic monstrosities that hate nerds like you, and will stop at nothing to fry, claw, bite and otherwise pummel your ass into hell!

 

Caution! UAC has lot billions already in this catastrophe. Do not let barrels, equipment or other expensive equipment to get further damaged, or your pay/ score will be docked!

Remove medkits, stimpacks, bottles and add pharmacies full of people, so you have to wait in long line to buy medkits, pay with ammo.

Ubisoft Doom

 

1. Armor and powerups are translucent and cannot be picked up unless you buy the PowerArmor(TM) Pack.

 

2. Open-world switch hunting.

 

3. The framerate is kept at 35 FPS, not because it's Doom, but because this mod packs a CPU-intensive DRM that also is a spyware.

Vulpine Doom

 

The Demons are actually evil Fox Spirits, and are basically just regular Doom demons with Fox ears.

And you have to use non-evil regular Foxes in stupid ways to defeat them. The foxes all sit upon your head (like my avatar, because reasons) and do different things after you throw them on the ground.

 

The pistol is replaced with an Arctic Fox. It doesn't do much, it just runs at enemies and mauls them after you toss them off your head. They also laugh that one laughing arctic fox meme.

 

The shotgun is the good ol' Red Fox. The Super Shotgun is two Red Foxes taped together. When you throw either one of them the Red Fox starts running around and Mousing the enemies, which is that thing Foxes do when they jump in an arc at things. 

 

The Chaingun is a stack of Kit Foxes. They're small and maul quickly.

 

The Rocket Launcher is a flying fox. Which is not actually a fox, but a rather large bat that flies around violently ripping off the demons fox ears as it flies over them thus defeating them.

 

The Plasma Gun is a Tibetan Sandfox. It runs out, looks unimpressed at the magic the demons are throwing at it, and they die of embarassment.

 

The BFG is a Fennec Fox. You set it down, cover your ears, and it runs to each enemy in the room shrieking, thus causing their heads to explode.

 

The fist is a bag of cheese with your hand inside it at the ready. You throw it on enemies and baby Red Foxes come out and eat the enemies that are covered in the cheese.

 

The chainsaw is a magazine full of bad furry fox porn. You walk up to an enemy, flip the magazine in front of their faces, and they promptly kill themselves. Yiff noises replace the chainsaw noise. 

 

...I like Foxes, okay?

Don't forget about adding repetitive enemy types and snot physics.

But... what if that's a zombieman, preparing to throw a fireball to help his demonic brethren?

 

I mean, he's certainly not trying to kill any of them, so either he's yelling for ammo, or he's undead and about to attack Doomguy.
