Red Posted August 25, 2017 Mine is probably any of the Dragon's Dogma's final bosses. 0 Share this post Link to post
Chezza Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) I would imagine Dark Souls will get a few mentions. That series looks interesting. For me I'll have to go with The Spider Mastermind from Doom 2016. It's intimidating, well animated, various attacks but very manageable. Otherwise I don't remember a Boss that sticks to mind. Oh Psycho Mantis! Gimmicky but overall cool and unique. Bauul Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Dark Souls of course! :D Manus, Father of the Abyss, the final boss from the first game's DLC is probably my favorite. He's just so batshit aggressive and had such a huge health bar (not to mention to awesome lore), I was sweating when I finally beat him (solo no less). One of my proudest gaming moments. Neurosis Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Giygas from Earthbound for obvious reasons. God from Silent Hill 3 who needs no further explanation Spoiler Phase 8 Corbenik "The Rebirth" from .hack//Quarantine. He is the final boss of the entire 4 part series of original .hack games that appeared on the PS2 (not G.U. which came later). This design was...an interesting choice, but it all ties into the epic story so by that point I didn't care and was just finally happy to beat all 4 games. But lemme just say, I don't call him Corbenik, I mean what does that even mean anyway? I just call him Potato Knife for obvious reasons. There's actually several different forms but none of them as interesting as the first. Spoiler 0 Share this post Link to post
CARRiON Posted August 25, 2017 The Boss, from Metal Gear Solid 3. Not so much her attack patterns or anything like that. More the implications of the fight itself, Where the fight takes place, and what it does to Naked Snake as a character. It was hard to fight her because of who she was to you, you didn't really want it to come to this. But alas... 3 Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Incubus from Silent Hill Referred to in-game as Samael, this is the final boss for the good/good+ ending when the requirements are met and thus the true form of the evil that was manifested through the pain and suffering of Alessa from the cult's malevolence is revealed. Not the most challenging fight in the Silent Hill series, but deals massive damage with its lightning attack only after a few strikes. Shoot when its charging its attack and then run in a circle around it to avoid the deadly thunderbolts. 3 Share this post Link to post
Swine & Roses Posted August 25, 2017 Yami, from Ōkami. Okay, gotta admit that fighting some robot sphere thingy inside a spaceship seems awkward after spending about 40 hours exploring ancient Japan. But hell, that fight was epic. It begins with you being stripped of all your powers and ends with you becoming a literal god! (oh, it's also a tear jerker haha) 1 Share this post Link to post

Aldaraia Posted August 25, 2017 Ganon, from the Ocarina of Time While the boss didn't bring anything new to the table difficulty wise, the build-up to, presentation and atmosphere of the fight was top-notch. 1 Share this post Link to post
Mr. Freeze Posted August 25, 2017 The final fight against Pious Augustus is amazing. Playing as both the previous player characters and Alex made it feel incredibly epic. 0 Share this post Link to post
42PercentHealth Posted August 25, 2017 Probably D'Sparil from Heretic. 3 Share this post Link to post

MFG38 Posted August 26, 2017 The Icon of Sin. Okay, but in all seriousness, I don't really have a favorite final boss. I do, however, have a few final bosses that are definitely up there, them being the following: Jun/Unknown (Tekken Tag Tournament 2) Atlas (Bioshock) Spider Mastermind (DOOM '16) Abarghus (Super House of Dead Ninjas) 0 Share this post Link to post

rehelekretep Posted August 31, 2017 (edited) Gwyn from Dark Souls is the only one springing to mind at present. such an awesome subversion of the player's expectations. 1 Share this post Link to post
leodoom85 Posted August 31, 2017 The Bydo from R-Type Delta.... some spoilers incoming... 0 Share this post Link to post
TwinBeast Posted September 1, 2017 Makron from Quake2 is pretty fun if not using powerups, and the first form looks like something that could have been in Doom (icon of sin that's not just a wall). Also liked the Leviathan mid boss in Dead Space, it had a more fun arena than the final boss. 0 Share this post Link to post
Agentbromsnor Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) Yoshi's Island for the SNES. Hands down one of the most epic boss-battles in the history of video-games. 1 Share this post Link to post
