Upgrade to the latest IE or get Mozilla

Quicktime problem.

I don't have Quicktime but I can see .png files.

Very very nice, but should have made his right hand a bit bigger.

The problem is when you *do* have QuickTime, then IE usually doesn't display PNGs.

Fredrik, do you think it would be okay if I modeled this guy sometime down the line, I'm really taken with the concept.
You'd get full credit of course.

Hey Fredrik, I'm gonna start modeling it real soon.
What do you think about changing the legs to have an extra joint, like this (the right leg)?

I don't have much against the orginal cyberdemon's legs, but doing them that way is gonna limit movement and the kind of poses it can hit. I'd rather do them the "correct" way.
Is it possible to get some sketches from different views of this thing?
Nothing like what you've done above, just some rough sketches so I have an idea what the back, and side of the head are supposed to look like.

btw, if anyone didn't see it the first time, this is what my last attempt at a full demon looked like...

I never finished it cuz I didn't like the way it was going.

Hm, maybe you should work on making the muscles bigger and generally make the cybie look burlier.

Thx hammer-stroke, I used max for that, but lately I've been modeling with houdini.
dsm, I know. My creature looks way too civilized compared to Fredrik's.
His cyberdemon looks like something out of a nightmare, sorta like Michael Jackson ya know.

Hehe, who knows, maybe.
You didn't answer my question though, would you mind if I changed the legs?
If you don't wanna draw no more that's cool, I can improvise.

I'm going away over the weekend... do whatever you like.

And like dsm said, the muscles should be bigger.

Wow! Thats *really* a badass model! Keep it up! I cant wait to see this thing completed!

Oh yeah as for the legs, you gotta do the two jointed system. I say this because since your model is so detailed and realistic, making the one joint leg would IMO totally screw it up and make the demon look unbalanced.

It's not a big fault in the doom sprites because they are well....sprites which arent that detailed at all so thus you dont really notice.

I know the legs are a bit too small... yeah. It's because I drew it from top to bottom.

yes i have this problem to fred i constanly need to pull it away and view it for a long while before continuing to draw the figure.
