Lost Soul Posted August 28, 2002 I know it's not Doom related, that's why it's here. ;) I was wondering if anybody knew of a Duke Nukem frontend for Windows? something that will make it XP friendly. I can ge the game working smoothly, but the sound, cause it's a DOS game, is like ass. can anyone help me? I"m using WinXp, and trying to get the Duke Nukem Kill-A-Ton collection working (Duke atomic more specifically) 0 Share this post Link to post
Lost Soul Posted August 28, 2002 Xp hates Dos. Won;t change sound even with a partition.. unless I'm doing something wrong that is. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted August 28, 2002 Ehrm if you run DOS alone, it should certainly work. 0 Share this post Link to post

Lost Soul Posted August 28, 2002 Actually it reminds me of Wacraft II. The first editions wouldnt work cause they were just for win95. Well, they would, but the sounds were choppy as fuck. The Wacraft II Battle Net Edition works perfectly under XP though. So I ended up buying that too. 0 Share this post Link to post
CyRaptor Posted August 28, 2002 If by frontend you mean a launcher, then you can get the DukeRoch launcher here: http://old.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?PlanetDuke/msdn/DukeRoch22.zip I dunno how well it works with XP, I haven't tried it yet. 0 Share this post Link to post
mmnpsrsoskl Posted August 29, 2002 How will a frontend improve performance within the game? :? If someone taught me Delphi, i'd make one :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Sphagne Posted August 29, 2002 Heard about dualboot XP? you can have XP with Win98 for instance or XP with plain Dos 6.2 0 Share this post Link to post
