PhobosAnomally3446 Posted September 15, 2017 I just downloaded the latest version of Zandronum and started a bot game. Here are two things I'm wondering about: 1. Bots MUST use weapons other than the pistol or brass knuckles to attack. Otherwise, they just run around aimlessly. 2. Doomkid Posted September 16, 2017 Bots are really dumb, but if they're getting stuck that much on the way to a weapon after spawning, the weapon placement itself might need some reconsideration. What mapset was this on? 0 Share this post Link to post

Doomkid Posted September 16, 2017 That'll be why, most vanilla maps have weapons pretty far away from spawn points. Due to their extremely simple nature, bots work best on smaller maps designed specifically for deathmatch. 0 Share this post Link to post
Voros Posted September 16, 2017 (edited) Basic arena like maps (like Freedoom's map07) tend to work best with bots. Or basically, symmetrical maps are usually easier for bots to handle. Open world maps that are simple to navigate work too. Like Doomkid said, they're very simple and can't do much. Load up a mapset like Swift Death with bots and you'll get a near-decent enough experience. 0 Share this post Link to post
