Labochurch [WAD]

Hi, this is my second map (This one is meant to be more clean and good than the first one :) )

IWAD: DOOM.WAD
Map name: E1M1
Background map: This laboratory is connected with a church. Demons are created in the lab and then a Satan disciple will send them all on the earth.

Difficulty: Pretty Easy
Song: D_E1M4 (My fav)
Secrets: Who knows

Additional infos: I've tested it with Zandronum but it should work with almost everything. It's just a basic map.
This map is meant to be the first of 12 more maps :)

your item and monster placement could be a bit better. Don't place obstacles items so close to each other, because you can get stuck between them. Remember to give player more space to move. Looks of the map are good at least. 

 

after you've got your wad done, you should change it's name, because it's hard to remember a wad called e1m1

I've called it e1m1 'cause I could load it more fast

Some stuff I didn't mention - I was referencing the 'bleak textures' of the laboratory part of the map. It is simply too empty, making the gray stand out and make it very bleak. Put in some computers or pillars, have some distinguishable pieces of architecture, something.

 

No one would ever know if the red or blue keys do anything because the 'secrets' at the start are too obvious to miss.

 

Too much ammo even for an easy map.

It's definitely an improvement over your first wad, now that you have ironed your visual problems out all that lays is the entity placement and aesthetic design that needs improvement.

 

It's a good map for someones second try

Just finished this one as well as your first.  See those comments as well.  Got some of the same things there.  Try mixing up your textures and find flats that compliment the walls without being the same color or texture.
