Seriously, they couldn't even get the title right. Also, it's a lamer and mediocre LaserDisc transfer of the 1993 definitive collection release, and it's a slightly blurry version of the unaltered version of A New Hope taken from LaserDisc.

More lens testing. A couple of barred owls presented themselves at one of the local state parks.

 

 

 

 

They were a fair distance away and the light was fairly low, so not too bad. Unfortunately, when a black bear (extremely rarely seen in these parts - pretty much the southern tip of their range) appeared earlier, my camera wasn't handy. Though if we're talking about being fortunate, there is the fact that it wasn't inclined to be aggressive...

All things considered, those are absolutely beautiful pictures. I'm jelly of the photo opportunities that you've had. I don't see too many owls around here, but I'm thankful enough that I've seen two Snowy Owls in the wild. They are so amazingly beautiful that I have a picture imprinted in my head of both of them; I just wish I could share that with people.

 

For an example, that's exactly how I remember one of them. It's not my picture, the one that I saw was sitting on a tree stump. But it was spreading its wings like that, and there was snow all around.

 

It's not an image that you will ever forget.

Well, it's a leopard. Oddly enough the oldest article I could find in a cursory search is this one:

Which is dated 2014, however on one of my old hard drives (that I was searching for snarky pictures on) that I put in my current PC, the last modified date of that picture is in May of 2010, and I think it was transferred to that hard drive from an older one, probably circa 2007.

 

However, if that leopard cub reacted in any way like my cat does to a hug, that chimpanzee walked away regretting the decision.

That's wholesome.

I mean, probably now the chimp, as chimps are prone to do, will go maul a newborn family member and eat them alive, but this specific moment is pretty wholesome.

God, there were so many bangers on that portable! Gals Fighters was probably my fave actual fighting game, but I definitely sank the most time into Card Fighters.

I never played Card Fighters all that much, but I definitely played a lot of Metal Slug 1st&2nd mission, Gal Fighters too; Miss X forever! But yeah, the Neo Geo Pocket was a beautiful handheld.

Alright, the ocelot comment made me laugh.

 

And yes I did, it's a small unfinished portion of an 18" x 24" drawing I did when I was a 17, took about six months. I used a magnifying glass and 005 pens for portions. Then colored it in with ink and pencils.

 

I always meant to add more panels to it, but then life happened. I should try it again.
