(I guess you mean queen. But if it had been somewhere else it wouldn't have made much difference, as my previous would instead have been to put the bishop on f5. Not as attractive, of course.)

You're right, the bishop does nothing. That's my level of chess proficiency, there's always one unsafe position I'll be completely unaware of until it's too late.
