Caffeine Freak Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) There's not a lot that *scares* me anymore, though there are definitely things that stick with me. I think the closest thing to scary I've seen/heard on the internet are recordings of certain 911 calls. There's something about the complete lack of visuals and the fuzzy clickiness of the phonecalls that can give goosebumps when the calls themselves are already creepy enough. 1 Share this post Link to post

In other game related news one guy is in prison from EVE Online for hiring a hit man to take out his competition. Other than that my friend was stalked by some guy online and he ordered lots of porn catalogs and sent them to her work. It got so bad for her she had to get the police involved. He'd call her work and leave messages. I assume that's the only number he could find online. Internet dating... are you really going to meet a girl or is she just bait with a meth addiction that has a boyfriend and a tire iron looking for your wallet? There was quite a story about a dating site scam from someone claiming to have a special needs child. She'd setup the date saying if the date would pay for the date would the date pay for the baby sitter too? If he would, the scam was the male baby sitter would meet him in front of the house looking for pay up front. If pay was accepted, he'd say I'll go tell your date you're here.... then go into the long porch that wrapped around the house ... and out the back to escape. The actual home owner would get blamed. Then in one case if the date refused to pay the sitter up front, he'd just pull a gun on him, mug him and run away. 0 Share this post Link to post
Baratus Posted October 25, 2017 All the dark, cynical and fatalistic humor I see on social media in response to all the negative news being shovelled out of mainstream news outlets on an hourly basis, which is not necessarily an issue by itself, though I have the fear that I'm starting to take it seriously and to believe the world really is as bad as people constantly joke or say it is.
