What were the system requirements for ultimate doom?

I've barely played the episode 4 levels, is there any reason you'd need a system better than a 386 with 4mb ram that's the requirement for shareware/registered doom?

Generally the same as E1-3 and Doom 2. a 386 doesn't really cut it for any of the games.
