Do you agree with the idgames definition of a megawad?

Quality over quantity, sometimes 15 maps can be way better than a full blown megawad (looking at you hell revealed copies)

For me:
2-3,5-7,10-14 Maps = X Maps
4 Maps = Mini Episode

8-9 Maps = Episode

Why does 4 maps get special treatment? :)

As far as "episodes" go, I'd see 6 or 7 maps in Doom 2 as an episode, too.  Either leading up to the first text intermission, or to one map after a "here's the big finale!" message.  11 maps and possibly 12 maps are also episodes for the same reason.

For the OP, I am fine with 15 as the official definition, but I sure do prefer a full 30/32 to actually play.

Edited by Capellan : added "to actually play" for greater clarity

someone made the mega-giga joke... let's kick it up a notch and kill the joke dead:

kilowad---3-9     maps

kibiwad---10-14 maps

megawad-16-36 maps

mebiwad--37-29 maps

gigawad-- 40-64 maps

gibiwad--  65-75 maps

terawad-- 76-128maps

tibiwad--- you're nuts

petawad-- ain't nobody doing more than that
really though, the definition is arbitrary. having an exact definition is nice, but it doesn't really matter.
