|mason1729||Would've far preferred an actual sequel to Icarus that was boom compatible. ||x|
|Anonymous||Why isn't there a walkthru for this? Would have played to the end.||x|
|Xaser||don't mind me, just making up for the stupidity of my previous "review". :D||x|
|Anonymous||awsome map, it could have 5 stars but why so few monters?
|Anonymous||Some clever visuals and architecture might redeem it, but this wad is unquestionably overrated. The "puzzles" mostly involve going back and forth over and over again in a frustrating attempt to search every last nook and cranny of the same maps for some switch, item, or other extremely vague objective, the placement of which is not at all grounded in the common sense logic of good game design.||x|
|Avoozl||I think it was good, you just need to have enough time on your hands and patience to want to beat this.||x|
|Anonymous||What a great adventure! I'm sure it was an amazing trip. Thank you again, Team TNT.||x|
|Anonymous||The monster graphics == ah1!! ~2/5||x|
|Anonymous||I remember being extremely excited when this came out . While being extremely well executed and technically brilliant for its' day, it has one major problem which made me stop playing this quite early. It's the lack of flow in the gameplay.
If this would have been streamlined a little more, this _could_ have been one of the best wads ever made. Judging it in its' released state it's such a two-bladed sword blasting it into severe mediocrity. Doubt I will ever attempt to beat this.
3/5 -- Shockwav3||x|
|Anonymous||very frustrating game 2/5||x|
|Anonymous||A Quake 2/Half-Life fusion megawad it ain't. It may not be as good as Icarus since its more puzzle solving than run n' gun action, but its pretty innovative and the level design was well thought out. Gameplay is more like Half-Life, but a whole lot better (4/5). T-Rex||x|
|Anonymous||Smatterings of story, cohesive hub world, good use of detailing and ambient sounds make this more immersive than average. Heavy on puzzles and exploration, but never too complex if you check all computer terminals. Scarce supplies make start difficult and over-use of stealth monsters makes later sections troubling, but difficulty is balanced well otherwise. Could use more songs, and some areas are a bit empty. Great fun if you like more thinking and less fighting. 4/5 -VV||x|
|Anonymous||This is like KDiZD. Beautiful? Check. Detailed? Check. Polished? Check. Lot of effort? Check. Gameplay? Check. The levels look good and are fun to play. 5 stars.||x|
|Anonymous||Started out fun enought, but I got stuck in the first hub (probably near the end) and quit after an hour of trying. A lot of work's gone into this, but it's way, way too complex - and gameplay isn't even the best even not considering the puzzles. Avoid.||x|
|Anonymous||It's trying to change the core gameplay of Doom and doing what all other games do today. That is an auto 0.||x|
|Anonymous||It's great. And to people who crying about about gameplay: this is not straight forwad mindless killing and grabbing keys to exit gameplay. It's rather explore/puzzle/adven ture/escape gameplay. Also histery about cubic design both of Icarus and some part of Daedalus - hey it's TeamTNT style and cant be judged as mistake.||x|
|Anonymous||For what seems to be everyone, Daedalus is either a hit or miss. Some enjoy the new approach to doom with less monster oriented game-play (although demons are far from absent in this wad)and others just get bored as soon as it starts and flip on Hell Revealed just to revive themselves from the slumber brought on by Daedalus. I found many cons from the textures to the repetitive puzzles of consoles and power supplies. The game should of stopped after taking the ship to the land.||x|
|Anonymous||This and Icarus fails tremendously. Stick to Final DOOM.||x|
|Anonymous||Great scripting and use of zdoom features, nice new music and textures, huge maps and long playtime. But boring and confusing, with high amount of bugs. It could be much better than this. Sorry. 3,5/5 - Damned||x|
|Anonymous||5 stars for the incredible amount of efforts of a whole team, for the only purpose to give us an unforgivable time. Even if they didn't succeed perfectly, they made one of the best megawad ever done: sometimes for the gameplay of some parts, some other times for the scriptings, some others for the architecture. All in one: thank you! 5* - Jive||x|
|Anonymous||this one can be a pain in the rear if you are trying to blow through it... PAY close attention. This wad is awesome, definitely one of my long lost favorites.||x|
|Anonymous||This is Final DOOM III :-) 5/5||x|
|Anonymous||I really ReZpEkt Team TNT but this just wasnt't Too GuD. Sorry Guyz, ToO BoROIng to play... 3/5 -LIsa||x|
|Anonymous||This is like KDiZD. Beautiful? Check. Detailed? Check. Polished? Check. Lot of effort? Check. Gameplay? Puah! Just that. I couldn't play it. Sooooooo boooooooooooooooriii iiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg.
I'd rather play a good linear detailed, beautifully done levelset like Ultimate Torment and Torture, than go through a torture of playing such a dragfest of a megawad... 3 stars.||x|
|Anonymous||Icarus: Alien Vanguard was better in terms of gameplay. The level design is a little better, but more confusing and with tons of backtracking which brought down the fun factor exponentionally. Perhaps this was the true precursor to KDiZD??? 2/5||x|
|Anonymous||boring gamepley, but great eye candy 4/5
- Super Fuck||x|
|Anonymous||AWSOME!!! i just wish there was a better ending.... or at least a final boss.....||x|
|Anonymous||This was extremley boring and complicated at times and quite drab but this wad also has its good points. The levels look quite good but too much of the same music was used and the levels can be hard to figure out. I think Ty wanted his team to make a wad to impress but it was overdone badly. Still worth checking out. 3 Stars -PC||x|
|Anonymous||It's big, great work, sometimes too higly detailed and so slowing down, but gets annoying after a time, running around not sure about what you have to do next. I made it till the planet and after a while I decided to IDCLIP and stuff, 2-3 levels before the end I IDCLEVed because I couldn't stand it anymore. But big good work so I give 4/5 - Optimus||x|
|Anonymous||Impressive, but this is frustrating. I got confused and lost trying to figure out where to go and what to do. The textures weren't that great either. This was a disappointing wad from such talented mappers.||x|
|Anonymous||Nothing but pure ACS and scripting. 5/5||x|
|Anonymous||meh geh cheh deh lol pretty good 5 stars||x|
|Anonymous||Technically impressive but gameplay suffers horribly. Boring. 3 stars||x|
|Anonymous||pretty fun, but jesus christ. way too fucking long. i spent my whole gr. 9 year tryin to play dis shit. and i still didn't finish it lol. 5/5 for my gr 9 year. and 3/5 for boring me. so 4/5 in all. admiral xolzo (i'm in gr 11 right now, so this gives me memories)||x|
|Anonymous||Quite an achievement. The use of scripting is amazing, the WAD is huge (I'm referring to to the length, not the file size, but that's very large, too.), and a great presentation! That being said, it's boring. 2/5. --Crazee Boy||x|
|Anonymous||cool, needs a bit more work on it though||x|
|Anonymous||Textures and graphics are pretty bad. Level design is quite repetetive and the story is not very good. Scripting and size is impressive. The travel tubes are really nice, although they too get tiresome at the end since they for some reason are the same over the whole wad. And sounds are pretty cool. Gameplay is pretty bland too. And I really hate the ending. This is mediocre at best. 3/5 Kristus||x|
|Anonymous||I'm still trying to find the trash bay :( 3/5||x|
|Anonymous||mythird time voting. 5/5. i played this 1 year before i gave myself an internet name. - Xolzo||x|
|Anonymous||Hmm. It must have taken ages to do. But it kept irritating me - the level transitions, the autosaving, charging the translator, and the staircases on the engineering level. It's not System Shock, as one of the other people says, it's a half-way house. Like a prog rock album, it's technically impressive but a bit blah. Needs more punk.||x|
|Anonymous||Puzzle-heavy, but well executed overall.||x|
|Anonymous||beautiful adventure, story, and mapping design 5/5||x|
|Anonymous||Oh shit... dissapointing? There are only few wads really worth 5 stars. Daedalus is one of them. I dislike the plain texture usage, cubicity of areas, and quests are mostly very simple. But hey, it's not System Shock. And it plays damn well.||x|
|Anonymous||Lots of effort, but eventually not very good at all 2/5||x|
|Anonymous||Visually very impressive but overall dissapointing. RTC-3057 beat daedalus in story, visuals, and scripting. 4 stars.||x|
|Anonymous||Impressive but also disappointing.||x|
|Anonymous||Impressive scenarios. Gameplay is not the best.
And weird but some monsters like those snails looks very shitty for such long time proyect and tnt team history. But Anyway minimum rating 4/5||x|
|Anonymous||It's undeniable that the work on this is impressive. As in most games, the gameplay suffers when the focus is put on other things - and in the case of Daedalus there are a lot of other things. It didn't take long before I got bored, annoyed, and lost. A lot of things are brilliant but to me the gameplay feels rather static and uninteresting, oh and often slow. I dont think such a comment should be unexpected. After all, Doom 3 is a joke. ---- 4 Stars.||x|
|Anonymous||Very interesting scripting and very immsersive. 4/5 stars||x|
|Anonymous||Well worth 5 stars and by far the best "tenth anniversary" wad.||x|
|Anonymous||Good Work. However, I have had difficulty with the parts of the Engine Room. As a result, I am giving it a 4/5. More levels, more monsters, more weapons, etc. would be great.||x|
|Anonymous||Sorry, But I hate this MegaWAD.
there are some poor graphics (The tarantoola and the snails) and all of the game was talking talking talikng talking and more talking!!
|Anonymous||Good stuff man!||x|
|Anonymous||Obviously this package is extremely hardworked and mostly brilliant, even flawless at times. But unfortunately there's also a few annoying things with this wad such as several more serious bugs such as places you can be locked inside as well as maps where you run out of ammo no matter how you play it. So I'll give it a 3/5.||x|
|Anonymous||HOLY SHIT! THEY ACTUALLY FINISHED THIS??? Heh, I whought it would never get done. Anyway 5 WHOLE FREAKING STARS for this 4-year production. This is hell of a lot better than the demo. Get it or I'll find out who you are and slit your throat! -Xaser||x|
|Anonymous||The best Megawad for long time...
TNT RULEZ DA DOOM ;-)||x|
|Anonymous||A wad by TNT need I Say more? Yes I do need say more... i need to say that team tnt's boom engine ended up (pretty much) as part of zdoom... And If I got to make an Iwad... wow.... It would really suck...||x|
|Anonymous||DAMN!!! definately worth the download! GET IT!!||x|
|Anonymous||fp! great wad so far! ****ish -sargebaldy||x|
