|Getsu Fune||it's ok. the one thing I don't like most is MAP08 where you had to kill a certain monster to proceed. combat is mostly good throughout. that last level is really slaughtery fun.||x|
|Mabuse||This is Fun :)||x|
|Anonymous||@cacomonkey, the exit is bugged because the WAD requires ZDoom 2.0.63a. Even in later versions of ZDoom and with 2.0.63 compatibility set the exit is still bugged. A shame really because Titan 2 and even Titan 1024, a re-imagining of this WAD, don't depend on ZDoom 2.0.63a. I hope one day Ixnatifual will fix this bug but until then, stick with Titan 2 and Titan 1024 as they're vast improvements over this.||x|
|cacomonkey||Awarding it two stars because Map 2 right next to the exit is bugged. Monsters will not trigger so it's impossible to exit the map and continue to the next map without cheating using either warp to next level or noclip to go through the wall to activate the monsters. This critical fail alone caused me to give up the wad though it does appear to be well designed. I'm intrigued enough by Titan 1 to want to play Titan 2 but I hope it's not bugged like this wad.||x|
|Anonymous||Good for its time... but not nearly as good as the sequel
|Anonymous||Can't say I was a fan of this one. The design is great with attractive environments, sensible use of ZDoom features, and well-hidden secrets. Unfortunately the enemy placement and general gameplay flips between annoyingly boring and annoyingly frustrating, with many switchhunts made understandable only by the use of Duke3D-like camera screens. MAP09 looks incredible, and is probably the only level actually worth having a go at. 1/5||x|
|Anonymous||Nine levels from 2004. Map01 is awful, a dark crate maze followed by a well-lit crate maze; Map02 is better but still 1995 standard; I skipped to Map05, which is a solid 1998-style techbase, with some source port features, and lots of straight corridors; to be fair, Map07 is much better (reminiscent of Aliens TC); Map08 was surprisingly easy but good fun; Map09 was huge and tough. I would have kept Map08 and 09 and done some more work on the rest.||x|
|Anonymous||Still one of my favourites. The battle at the end around the giant Ziggurat thing remains one of my favourite Doom fights, and the later levels generally are all excellent. Many of the areas in the first few levels can seem a little unremarkable, but nevertheless they're all well crafted tech-bases. I have no complaints to make in the gameplay department, everything seemed balanced and on UV I had no major problems with either ammo or health. ||x|
|Anonymous||Not bad. Many of the levels feel pretty average though. Nothing really jawdropping or spectacular. 3/4||x|
|Anonymous||Supremely overrated - this should piss off most Doomers, the 12 year old's comments above notwithstanding. Very average design, very average scripting, and altogether very average.||x|
|Anonymous||not the best wad. 4/5||x|
|Anonymous||This 9-map-pack starts tame in layout and gameplay but becomes a real trip while you're going through the maps.
Some scripting and monsters from the ZDoom Community Monster Pack make it interesting right from the beginning.
But maps 08 and 09 are real masterpieces with the way, gameplay is directed by scripting and with its psychedelic sounds. 4.5/5 -Milian||x|
|Anonymous||One of the most enjoyable wads I've played in a long time. Excellent atmosphere. Took me around 12 hours to complete. Died many times. Shit my pants a few times - and that hasn't happened in DOOM for years for me. Had to save every 5 mins. Only bad thing is there is only 9 levels...
Played on UV -fast... now I need a vacation. Cheers Jasper. Unfortunately I can only give you 5/5. 10/5 -jb||x|
|Anonymous||Best pwad ever made. I expect that it's underrated because of its extrem difficulty. But I won the final battle against 1304 monsters without cheating, at skill 4, without auto-aim. So, It's playable!!! The dumbass who wrote "mapping kinda sucks" should be suspended by the balls. It's really an idiot. And the one who wrote "average and somewhat boring" is another fuckin moron. The only negative point is about the secret areas, very badly thought (some are even impossible to discover). 5/5 - Jive||x|
|Anonymous||this is a great mapset, with very good zdoom features, though some areas are average 4.5/5||x|
|Anonymous||Kickass wad but the last level is long as hell. 5/5||x|
|Anonymous||Played it...it is leetzorz||x|
|Anonymous||damn good wad. really enjoyed this. ^^^to the above reviewer, you should of stayed out of the the doom community and did us all a favor. jackass. 5/5 -=R3D=- ||x|
|Anonymous||This wad single-handedly caused me to leave the doom community for multiple years. -epyo||x|
|Anonymous||Annoyed me to no end. I hate it when someone wants to tell me how to play, take the scripted saves and the puzzles that are impossible without saving and shove them.
Further: the author didnīt mention that jumping is required, searching for the unmarked secrets will more likely cause rsi than being fun and he expects the player to plow through 8 average levels before one that is good.
|Anonymous||Good design and layout in most maps but gameplay is irregular. Sometimes itīs a punch of adrenaline and sometimes is quite boring or has excess of monsters. It gets warmer and warmer while you go on, so donīt give up in the first two maps, that are really average and somewhat boring. The architecture is also irregular, from plain to detailed, but never with much eye candy. 3 stars.||x|
|Anonymous||Ixnatifual has clearly put a lot of work into all of this using all the features and massive detailing. I was impressed, and the gameplay was like none other. Ending could be a biiit shorter though ;) 5/5 stars -Kirby||x|
|Anonymous||Overrated, average and somewhat boring. Meh. Fun for one play tough.||x|
|Anonymous||Great level design, challenging gameplay, and all around fun. Great job!||x|
|Anonymous||Worth giving 5 stars for the mirror/hellknight trick alone (map7, afaik - check this out ). Add to that tastefully used slopes, best usage of industralish textures ever, great dark atmosphere and breathtaking landscape of the last level and you have asskicking set. Too much good stuff to mention - play it by yourself -- Brun Ohn||x|
|Anonymous||Absolutely great wad!!
All maps after 02 are absolutely awesome :)
It deserves 5 stars (at least 4,5;))-V||x|
|Anonymous||/me likes a lot||x|
One of the best Zdoom wads I've played.
But... that last map... it was... BEST EVER!!!
nice Hectebi mix. those Chainsaw zombies rocks! ans I saw only 1 Plasma zombie, I loved it!
too bad it's only 9 maps!
|Anonymous||Pretty good, if a little uneven levelset. Gameplay is king here, while the looks can be rather bad at times. This wad has more innovation than quality, there was one particular trick that made me literally gasp in awe! The final level is the most interesting, although it brought my 1200 Mhz computer down to its knees...||x|
|Anonymous||A must download at least for watching the last level!!!!!
Uber temple there with impressive architecture.!
That last level.. -Julz_D||x|
|Anonymous||meh it was ok||x|
|Anonymous||HOLY *$ THIS IS GOOD -doom2day||x|
|Anonymous||Funny wad IT ROCKS!||x|
|Anonymous||Nice piece of crap *Sneeze* work... (Heh)
Titan is a moon of SATURN! 4 stars for that!||x|
|Anonymous||i fucking fucking hate crate mazes! especially in the fucking fucking dark.||x|
|Anonymous||mapping kinda sucks||x|
|Anonymous||Just from the description T/nc gave it I knew it would feel a bit like Doom 3 even before a I played. The chainsaw zombies only confirmed that premonition ;) Excellent work!||x|
|Anonymous||Titan is a moon of Saturn, not Mars. Geez. :)||x|
|Anonymous||the best wad if you played 5/5||x|
|Anonymous||Not quite 5, but a good 4.5. I'm sending in a 4 though, just to lower the overall rating. Still, great levels and a must play!||x|
|Anonymous||Really great levels. I wouldn't be playing Doom 2 at all currently had it been for these levels.||x|
|Anonymous||HAVENT FINISHED IT BUT SO FAR IT IS NICE PEICE OF WORK||x|
|Anonymous||Play it. NOW. THIS IS BEYOND 1337. YOU WILL PLAY. -Giest118||x|
