| Map layout is essentially a dark, circular area with some trees. The gameplay consists of shooting arrows at screaming heads and having "screamer" enemies rape your ears. It's almost impossible, too, even on the easiest skill level. Also, it's not scary; the only attempts at horror are gore and cheap "jump" moments. This has no atmosphere or suspense. | The whole concept of wandering around a very dark forest with eerie music is quite impressive and creepy. However, the whole idea with the screaming ghouls is kind of...annoying. The sequels just expand on something that was ultimately a very limited idea, even the new Ghouls don't really differ much in principle. If you want atmospheric gameplay, Grove & Phocas Island have more to offer in relation to map-design and are also far more enjoyable in terms of gameplay. | x |

| One can argue that this sequel is redundant, as this kind of thing has already been done twice before. To a degree, yes. But here you have three new ghouls (I would have liked to see four), astronomically improved scripting compared to the previous editions of TGF, a new forest with things like tree stumps, slime, etc., and new weapons which change the dynamic of the game.
